*Thanks to Reaper_Pro who told me the real names of the Blight parents. From this point on Chadrick is Alador and Karen is Odalia. Now back to the story*

"The blame falls on me, I wasn't watching her." Emira said. Standing tall in the shared bedroom of the twins.

"On us." Edric corrected matching Emira's unwavering voice. "We are a team, I will also take responsibility"

"How noble." Alador said to his children slightly impressed. "Stupid, but noble"
With a flick of his wrist, a circular bubble began to form at the twins feet. Trapping them together before splitting apart, the circle being split down the middle. Creating two separate orbs, Edric stood tall, as the outside world began to fade.
"I will let you out in--"
Edric couldn't hear that last part. His fathers voice blocked out by the bubble.

Edric placed a hand against the bubble, the cold touch of his prison pressing against his skin. He was in the magical bubble that separated him from the rest of the world. No sound came in, no one could break him out. If someone asked him what hell was, he would tell the it was the bubble.

Even if someone sat right outside the bubble, Edric wouldn't know. The light and sound being blocked from entering. The darkness crept closer. Tears welled in Edric's eyes, threatening to fall. Edric began to crumble, falling to his knees. The illusion of a brave boy fading away, the confidence and drive that pushed him so hard melting away.  Edric pushed his back against the wall of the bubble, the sound of his crying echoing back at him.

Emira sat in her bubble. She could hear Edric's muffled voice as he began crying.
But she could do nothing to help her brother. He couldn't hear or see her. Edric's bubble made him suffer alone, but Emira's bubble made her do nothing as the people she loved cried out for help. As they begged to be held and loved, she could only sit and wait to be let out. Emira pushed her back against the bubble. Even though they were right next to one another, they couldn't have been more far apart.  Angry, Emira could feel tears welling in her eyes. Her nails dug into her skin, and her blood began to boil. Her mind went to other places.

She recalled the first time the she had been put into the bubble. Edric had failed to summon a working abomination and Emira had raised her voice at their mother in order to defend him.  Alador had grabbed the young Emira and begun dragged her to her room. The halls of the manor were so much more threatening back then. The manor staff loomed over Emira and snickered behind her back whenever she was punished. They still do, but it didn't bother her as much as it use to.
As Aldaor's adult hands dug into Emira's skin, her blood stained the perfect white marble floor. Leaving bread crumbs to her prison. Edric was left behind with Odalia, his tears running down his face. That was the longest the two had ever been apart.

"This bubble will keep you safe from the influences of the outside world. This Bubble will be your home, until you are ready to be good" Alador had said, so many years ago.

"Within the bubble you wouldn't get hungry, or feel thirsty. The bubble is made to keep you in. To keep you safe. " Emira whispered as she quoted her father.

Time would be passing outside the bubble and Emira could do nothing to stop it. As she sat with her back pressing against the wall she realized that the distance between her and Edric was small, yet far all at the same time.
