"What should we do?" Eda asked her sister. "What if Luz doesn't wake up?"
"She will sister. She's too stubborn to die, just like a certain someone I know."
Eda smiled at the comment. Her face grew softer.
"You did a good job with her." Lilith said this as a fact, there was no room to argue."You did good too, with Amity I mean. She's a powerful witch." Eda countered, a grin on her face.
The sisters stayed together. Only a week ago, the distance between them didn't seem to end. But now it was like they were never apart to begin with. The sisters continued their banter, using it as a way to cope. To make sure that they didn't let the dread and unease get to them. Luz was hurt and Amity was gone. Both mentors struggled with the thought of their own failures. But together they could be confident in themselves. Their pupils may change and grow over time, but the Clawthorne sisters would always be there to be a guiding hand. The master would always be with the pupil. If in heart and soul if nothing else. The two sisters stood in silence, happy to be in the others company. Glad to have even a moment of peace.
"Is he high?" Eda asked her sister as she saw Gus from the window. Gus was standing in a patch of grass and talking to himself. Soon the boy turned and walked towards the owl house and dramatically opened the door. The nice moment between the lost.
Lilith let out a heavy sigh, unsure of what to say. Eda threw back her head and let out a laugh. After calming down and gesturing to Lilith for her to follow, Eda headed to the living room. Only to see Luz standing at the top of the stairs.
