Boscha nervously rang the doorbell. It's chime ringing throughout the manor. Her mother had called her, demanding her to come to the Blight manor. Taking a shaky breath, Boscha found it hard to breath. Her lungs filling and emptying quickly. She heard the shuffling of footsteps before the door opened. One of the butlers was waiting for her.
"Hello master Boscha." He said with a formal tone. His black tux had hints of purple. His short hair was cut to perfection. He held the door open, beckoning her in.
As Boscha walked the corridors she felt the eyes of the staff looming over her. Their whispers bounced in the halls. The perfect white pillars standing over the three eyed girl.
Boscha stood in front of the heavy doors leading to the dinning area. The dark oak contrasted against the marble walls.
As Boscha entered the room everyone stopped. The conversations ran dry and Boscha saw her parents staring back at her. Alador beckoned Boscha to his side. And as soon as she was in arms reach he grabbed Boscha's face and pulled it closer. He stared into her eyes, tension swept through the air.
"At least she has good bone structure." He said simply before releasing Boscha.
"A pretty face if nothing else." Odalia replied to her husband.
Boscha's fingers twitched at that last comment, unhappy to be told her only quality was her face.
"We have decided that you and Amity will marry after graduation." Alador said simply.
"Go talk to your new fiancé, she's waiting for you in her room" Odalia continued now uninterested in the three eyed girl.
Boscha stood in shock, unsure of how to respond. The wall clock was ticking back and forth, rhythmically breaking the silence. The only sound that could be heard in the empty room.
"Leave us child." Her father said shooing her away.
Boscha left the dinning room and made her way to the second floor. The Cinderella like stair case tiring her. Out of breath, Boscha scoffed at herself. Angry at her inability to walk up stairs. She reached the hallway with the bedrooms. Surprised that the twins hadn't jumped out with greeting yet. Boscha walked past their door, waiting for them to make a move. But neither twin stepped out in greeting. Uneasy Boscha stopped in front of Amity's door. Her fist floating at in the air, before setting down to the handle. Her fingers touching the golden handle, unsure if she should turn the knob.
"Amity?" Boscha asked hesitantly unsure if the witch wanted to see her. After all this wasn't like before. During a study session or the night before a Grudgy game. Things were different now. They were engaged."Enter." A voice said from within.
With a deep breath Boscha opened the door. As she walked inside she took everything in. The Azura poster's were gone, so were the brightly colored books, photos from Grom and the recruitment poster with Lilith on it. (The last one was to be expected but still). Now Amity's room had coven posters plastered on its walls, the bright Azura books replaced by dull textbooks, finally sitting on Amity's desk was an old Grugby photo instead of the framed Grom photo. Boscha stood above the picture, her face twisted with confusion. The victory pose with Willow, Gus, Amity and the human after the battle of Grom had been replaced by a photo of Skara, Boscha, Amelia and Amity from their final game. The championship trophy being held by Amity and Boscha. The two girls laughing as they struggled to lift the heavy trophy above their heads.
"I thought you threw this away." Boscha said flatly but secretly happy to know that Amity had kept the photo.
"Why would you think that?" The green haired girl asked from her windowsill. Her head turned to the side in amusement. Amity's golden eyes searching Boscha. The question lingered in the air for a moment. Boscha unsure of how to respond. She hesitated, her fingers floating above the photo.
"Well, you haven't had this photo up in years."
Boscha looked back at Amity. Her light blue eyes locking into gold. Taking a step forward, Boscha looked closer at Amity.
"Thinking about it, where did your Azura posters go? Or your books?" The accusation sat in the air. Unease causing a rift between the two. Boscha took another step forward, Amity looked different. Another step forward, like she wasn't real. As Boscha got closer and closer she noticed how glossy Amity's skin was. How she seemed so perfect to look at, too perfect. With one final step, the distance between the two girls closed. Amity looked up confused, her golden eyes twinkling in the light.
"How are your eyes doing that?" Boscha asked, twitching. Uneasy by the dazed face Amity was making.
"Doing what?" Amity replied sweetly, her eyes glossing over.
Something was wrong. Turning around Boscha made her way down the stairs and towards the front door. Going down the twisting halls of the manor. Each white pillar looking down at her.
"Wait!" Amity yelled from behind her. The green eyed girl following, her cried echoing inside the walls.
But it was too late, Boscha had already taken off running. She pushed past the butler who had let her in, knocking him to the ground. With a huff she forced her way past the heavy doors and made a break for the woods. Heading straight to the Owl House. Something was wrong with Amity and that human might be the only one who could save her.
