Day 13: Shuffle songs on your music device and write a story based on the first song that comes up
Patty looked over to the other side of the pool and sighed. His friend Harriett had put on a pool party, and a lot of people showed up (that girl was like a Sim as far as her new friendships went, he swore). This included Kellin and Andy, who were currently flirting on the other side of the pool.
“C’mon Patty, it’s a pool party! That means you should at least be wearing your bathing suit.” Harriett smirked. Patty managed a small smile.
“I’m wearing my swim trunks!” He said. She looked over to where Patty was previously, and sighed.
“Oh boo.” She said, sympathy written all over her face. It was Patty’s turn to sigh yet again.
“It’s whatever.” He said, shrugging.
“No it isn’t Patty. You really like Kellin!” She said, quietly enough that no one else could hear them.
“Well what can I do Hazz?”
“You need to be flirty. Look at you! You’re not exactly hurtin’ on good looks my friend. And you are the sweetest guy I know. And that’s including Hemmings.” Patty whistled dramatically at the last part of her statement, causing Harriett to swat at his shoulder. “C’mon Patty, you could be a heartthrob if you truly wanted to!”
“I really can’t, Harriett.” She was about to respond when someone came running onto the deck from inside Harriett’s house.
“POOL PARTY!” The brown-haired Luke called, cannon-balling into Harriett’s pool. There was laughter from everyone outside, including Patty.
“Get it McChesney baby!” Harriett called as he resurfaced. More people went running into the pool, and someone started playing music from Harriett’s iPod (probably Jade) and songs from the aspiring singers in their class started to play. Harriett started throwing all of the pool toys she had into the pool, and it basically turned into a free-for-all.
“Fuck it.” Patty said, and he took off his shirt and jumped into the pool. Harriett gave him a hi-five when she saw him, before getting pulled in the other direction by the other Luke. Kellin chose then to swim over to him, and his previous sadness seemed to melt away.
“Hey Patty!” Kellin smiled. Patty smiled back.
“Hey Kellin!”
“Can you help me get on one of the floaty toys?” Kellin asked, giving Patty puppy-dog eyes. Patty laughed.
“Of course Kell.”

Most of the other guests had gone home, leaving a handful of people that Patty actually knew left. They were all sat outside, just talking about random things and doing the occasional party game.
“Hey, when the sun goes down do you guys wanna start a fire?” Harriett asked, pulling her feet up onto her chair. There were murmurs of agreement.
“That sounded like lyrics to a song.” Luke M. said thoughtfully from next to her, his arm strewn around her shoulder. Patty envied how nonchalant she was with that sort of thing. She didn’t even have to try to get people to fawn over her. Meanwhile, Patty was pining for one certain person in particular and they didn’t even notice.
“Gonna write it down and use ‘em later?” Harriett teased.
“Pssh, maybe.” Everyone laughed.
“So who’s gonna light this fire? Cuz I honestly don’t trust you to do it Hazz.” Patty said.
“Hey now!”
“You’re an allstar.”
“I fucking swear to Bob McChesney...”
“I’ll help Patty light the fire.” Kellin cut in, knowing where that conversation was going.
“I love how you volunteered me in there.”
“Well I need someone to help me.”
“That’s a good point.”
“Wipe that smirk off your face!”

Patty and Kellin kissed that night.
They were lighting the fire, and things went surprisingly well. Until a spark managed to hit Kellin’s finger, and he got a burn mark. Patty had advised him to dip his finger in the pool to cool it off, which Kellin did until the burn went away. When Patty deemed his finger okay Kellin was still pouty, so Patty had jokingly kissed his finger to ‘make it better.’ That got a laugh out of Kellin, and also a kiss on the lips.
It turns out Kellin was just giving Andy advice on how to get Calum, and boy did Kellin let Patty know it.
Patty had yet to tell his friends, and he wasn’t sure he was ever going to. It was just a kiss, which ended as soon as people started to come outside when they saw the fire (which, admittedly, was a good length of time, but still).
And Patty was thinking of this right before his set at the annual school talent show, which wasn’t too good.
“Don’t be so calm Patty.” Kellin said sarcastically behind him. He turned around and smiled.
“Haha, Kell.” Patty returned drily.
“Seriously though dude, you’re super talented! You got nothin’ to worry about! I mean, even if you don’t win it’s not like you’re gonna embarrass yourself.” Patty laughed, his cheeks turning pink.
“Thanks. I just can’t help it, though.” Kellin smirked.
“Here.” He walked over and gave Patty a sweet kiss. “For luck.”
Points to whoever guesses which song I used (except you Jade cuz you already know lol)
