While remaining chatting among themselves in the living room, I'm with Jas. After feeding her, I step out of the room to place the empty plate and bowl in the kitchen. Aunt Maria and my mom are cleaning utensils. Granny is talking to them at that time.
"Uh? Nick? How is she?" Granny asks me.
"She's fine, granny," I reply with a smile.
"Worrying so much about her...", granny speaks outside.
I feel embarrassed, "Granny..." I look at my mom and aunt Maria. They're giggling.
"I'm done with the utensils. Shall we go, Nick?" Mom asks me by wiping her hands to a napkin.
"Uh? Where, mom?" I question her.
"To see, Jasmine. I'm concerned about her", she answers.
"Oh! Shit, if she notices Jas' body is blinking then she'll doubt her." I have thought inside and gaze at mom.
"Let's go", she heads out of the kitchen. "Mom...wait..." I follow her.
Mom notices dad feeling chill, rubbing his arms for the cold wind from the window while we're entering into the living room, she steps towards the window and shuts the doors. My dad smiles at her as a sign of gratitude.
"She cares my dad very much", I feel gleeful and smiles for a sec.
"Nick? Why are you here?" I look at who has called me? It's Max.
"What's wrong, Max?" I ask him.
"Go and stick to Jas. Nepenthes is here", Max alerts me. "What are you looking for? Go, now. I'm going to help out Rose", he leaves.
After closing the window, mom moves towards Jas' room. I hurry and enter first into the room and wave at Jas to indicate the arrival of mom. Jas quickly grasps, what's my intension? And covers her body with the blanket. She covers her head and pretends to sleep.
"What's wrong, Nick?" Mom asks me.
I give her a big smile, "I...I forgot to cover a blanket on her."
"No, no, no...What are you saying, Nick", Jas thinks under the blanket.
"What?" Mom looks at Jas and asks with a doubtful face.
"I mean,...before coming out. Otherwise, she may catch a cold." I understood from the glare of my mom on me that she hasn't convinced. "Maybe she has covered blanket by herself," I reply to her with a smile.
"Seems like, aunt got convinced", Jas slowly downs her blanket and observes us.
"Look! The window is still opened. How can she get on from the cold, which you're mentioning". She taps on my arm and goes to close the window. While she's going, I observe the room for Jas's safety and have seen Jas putting out her head from the blanket and gazing at mom.
"Jas? Close..", I mumble to Jas while waving. She again goes under the blanket.
At that time, Rose glances at my mom through the window, with wide-open eyes. Meanwhile, someone places their hand on her shoulder. She turns back to see with taut. "Oh! God. You, Max? You startled me", she fires on him and beats on his arm.
"Ahh! What did I do?" Max asks.
In the meantime, Mom and I take a look outside through the window.
"Max? Rose? What are you doing out there? Come inside", mom insists them.
"Yeah! Aunt." Max nods. "Rose? Nepenthes....?"
"Gone. Let's go inside", she moves from there.
"Gone? Where? Wait for me. I'm coming", Max goes behind her.
