38. The New Moon Day

We search everywhere in the hotel and enter Jas' corridor. The remaining have gone outside to search Rose haven't returned yet to the hotel.

I comfort her. "Jasmine? Don't cry. You know she is strong, right?" She nods. "She'll be fine and comes to you, okay?" Again she nods. I hug her again and comfort her. "Let's go to the room and have some rest." I concern her.

While we're moving to her room, Rose shows up straight to Jas a bit far from us. Jas runs to her and hugs her tightly by weeping. Rose too drops tears. "Are you alright?" Jas asks her.

Rose swallows her tears and replies, "Yeah! I'm okay."

I suspect, "Why a tough girl like Rose shedding tears? Something might have happened. Maybe because of Nepenthes? It's better to let her repose, first."

"Jasmine? I'll call to Dany and the remaining to come back. You take her inside." I advise her and dial to Dany to come back since Rose is here.

"Drink some water, Rose." Jas offers her a glass of water after she has sat on her bed. Rose drinks like in a single gulp. "What happened, Rose?" She sits beside her and comforts her by caressing on her back. "Did Nepenthes hurt you anywhere? Tell me, for God's sake I'll kill him and send him to hell straight."

"Who can dare, Jas? If anyone tries to harm me, they'll get hurt." Rose places her arm on Jas's hand with a pleasant smile.

"But, I didn't see you like this befor...." While Jas is talking, Rose interrupts, "Uh! By the way, Did Nepenthes come to you? Did you get the pendant?"

"No. When I was dared to open up to tell Nick, the truth of the pendant, Nepenthes has come....." Jas explains what has happened on the terrace. "..........He said he found out a way to take my mother's and my birthstones. Also said he prepared a bait to me but you caught up." While Jas saying, Rose thinks inside, "Oh! He planned to mingle Nick and Jas to get the powers. But I bit the bait accidentally."

"Really, he didn't hurt you, Rose?" Jas asks her again.

"No, Jas. I'm telling the truth. He just made me unconscious, that's all." Rose comforts Jas. In the meantime, Lily and Violet enter.

"Rose? Are you alright? Did you hurt?" Violet asks with a loud voice.

"Usshhh!!! Our pets are resting", Jas warns her. They all take a look at their pets sleeping together with atmost affection.

"No need to exaggerate, Violet. I'm fine." Rose says.

"But, What happened? Where have you gone, earlier?" Lily asks.

"Jas will explain. I'm a bit exhausted right now. I'm gonna sleep. You too take quick rest, It's already passed midnight. This evening, we're leaving the earth." Rose covers a bedsheet on her completely and pretends as if she's sleeping for real. "Sorry friends. I may not come back to our world anymore. But I promise you, even Nepenthes can't stop me, sending you back before sunsets." Rose takes an oath and sheds tears noiselessly by covering her mouth with her hands.

"Is she really okay?" Lily asks Jas.

"Yeah! Nepenthes made her unconscious to fight with me......" Jas explains them.

"Thank God, you both are safe", Violet feels relax.

"Yeah. Jas? Can you really get the pendant by the evening?" Lily asks Jas.

"I hope so", Jas answers.

I enter the corridor, way to my room. Suddenly, Max rushes out of my room.

"Max? Where the hell are you till now? I called you so many times and texted you." I question him.

Max strokes his hair and says, "Haha! I..went to meet..my...college friend. You know? He suddenly called...earlier and ask me to meet him. Did I make you worry?" He asks innocently.
