Twenty-Eight

The girl wondered who would be at the door.

The only people she knew here were jo and Chris, she hadn't gone out to meet new people.

She didn't know if it was because she was paranoid from the fire, but she took out her wand and carried it in front of her, being ready to fight if it was needed

But when she got to the kitchen she saw Jo serving tea to two red heads and a brunette.

When the three turned around Alex was Relieved to see Remus and the twins

"They forced me to bring them to you" Lupin said with a grin as he hugged the girl

"How'd you two convince Molly to let you come?" Alex questioned as the boys tangled their arms around the girl

"Professor Lupin told her we were helping him in class"

"We couldn't go another second without making sure our girl was safe. Isn't that right Freddie?"

The girl laughed before hugging the twins again

After the trio finished their tea, the four went out on a walk

"So where are the fun spots?" Fred asked as he linked the girls arms with his

"I actually haven't left the house since I came here" she replied as they crossed a street

"You've stayed inside for more then a month?" George asked as his eyes popped out of his head.

As the three continued talked, Remus excused himself, claiming he had something to do.

So Alex brought them to the one place she did know, a small cafe on some corner the girl didn't know the name of.

"So how's everyone back home" she asked once the trio found an empty table after they ordered their drinks

Fred and George having s little more trouble since the shop didn't sell Pumpkin tea. But the twins settled with a hot chocolate each.

The twins didn't say anything at first, obviously trying to avoid the girls question

"Everyone thinks your dead" George whispered after a short pause

Alex basically spit out her coffee, "dead? I wrote Harry a letter"

Fred shook his head, "and then Draco sent you one and you didn't reply. And then people started worrying and sending letters to random addresses but you didn't answer once."

"So Harry thinks I'm dead? Draco thinks I'm dead?" The girl stuttered out

The twins nodded their heads and took another sip of their hot chocolate

"Are they okay tho? How's your mom"

"Harry's basically going mad. Draco is getting more depressing everyday, and mom is crying every second."

She did that to them, she made their lives horrible. She'd been so selfish to leave, but it was to late now. The damage was done.

"I didn't think they'd care much if I left"

"Are you crazy? We're all going mad without you there" Fred said as he lightly pushed the girls shoulder

"You know Alex, Freddie is right. You were like the glue"

Alex smiled at her two best friends. She missed them dearly but didn't know how much until she saw them laughing at each other for having whip cream mustaches.

But after a few more cups of the chocolate drink, it was time for the twins and Remus to leave.

"Mind if I get a few moments alone with Alex?" Remus asked the twins, receiving a nod and the two leaving

"What's up" Alex asked as she poured herself a glass of water

"Come back with us Alex. You aren't doing anything here. Everyone needs you. Harry needs you back. " the older man said as he handed the girl a letter, which she chose to open later

"I am doing something here Remus, I'm healing. Harry's fine without me, the only person he's ever needed was himself okay? And I'll see him again. I don't know when, but I will. You tell him not to worry about me okay?"

The older man simply nodded his head and called the twins back in

"So I guess this is goodbye" George said with a frown as he looked to the ground

Alex shook her head and grabbed his hand, "I'll see you soon okay? You aren't gonna get rid of me that quickly"

George smiled sadly and pulled the girl into a hug, once he pulled away he entered the fire place next to Remus

"See you soon?" The last remaining Weasley said to the potter girl

She nodded sadly and placed a soft kiss on Fred's cheek, "you watch them for me okay?"

Fred simply nodded and joined his twin and Remus in the fireplace

With one last nod the three where off and Alex was alone

She didn't know where Jo and Chris where, so she went back to her room and laid on her bed.

She had forgotten about the letter until she heard it crumpled under neath her

On the front it read "Alex" in the all to familiar somewhat neat handwriting.

Dear Alex,

People are saying you're dead, but I don't believe that. I know Remus knows where you are but he denies knowing anything, but we both know how he'd lie to god himself to protect you. Everyone is saying I'm crazy for not believing you're gone. But they don't get it, I can feel you. You're still alive. I don't know if it's a twin thing, but I know you're still out there.

I'm not going to force you to come back, I know this time must be hard for you. But please return as soon as you find whatever you're looking for. But I just thought you should know, that it's my job to protect you. I'm your older brother Alex, not the other way around. Even tho I know you can handle yourself, you've always been very strong and independent. One of the many reasons I'm proud to call you my sister. So I'll keep searching for you. Until the day we see each other again.
