The scream seemed to go on and on, deafening you. He's in that body, screaming hiss heart out, but it will do no good...

Eren had launched a punch directly at Reiner, but the hardened armor around his face and head only tore Eren's hand to pieces. In one fell swoop, Reiner had launched Eren into the air. His strength was nothing less than daunting, and you watched in abject horror as Eren's titan, tall and muscular, went soaring through the air like a limp bird whose wings had been clipped, landing ever so far away from you.

"Let's go!" you shouted to Mikasa, who was watching the fight unfold as well. She nodded curtly and grunted as she zipped off with you towards Hange, who was screaming instructions at several soldiers. "-got Ymir, he got her!" Connie was screaming, his hands glued to the sockets of his eyes, apparently attempting to pull them out. "The Colossal Titan is back, and now Ymir's gone, Reiner and Bertolt are nowhere to be-" "It's them," you hissed. You had always gotten on well with Connie, but now was certainly no time to play the fool. "What do you mean?" he asked, his high-pitched voice more serious and strained with confusion, "what's them?" "The Colossal and Armored Titans are Bertolt and Reiner, respectively," Mikasa said, her voice quiet an commanding, "but we haven't got the time to feel sorry for ourselves," she added, seeing Connie gasp and let out a wail of confusion. "She's right," you seconded, as Hange continued barking orders to passing soldiers. "Hange," you questioned, jumping into salute, "what are we to do from this point forward?" You couldn't help but glance towards Eren's figure, still lying flat on its back on the ground, staring up at the sky like a dazed insect. "I'm sending troops to kill the Colossal Titan," Hange answered curtly, a small grin perched on her lips, "but you guys would be of more help in combat; help Eren beat Reiner." You didn't hesitate for a change of heart. "Yes ma'am!" you and Mikasa chorused, and with a spurt of gas, you shot off towards the bottom of the wall.

The flight towards Eren was merciless: between the metal brace on your arm throbbing with pain and the lack of buildings or trees to grasp onto, the journey was bumpy and filled with cutbacks. You thudded after Mikasa, sprinting towards Eren's body, which was steaming slightly in the morning sunlight. "Why isn't he moving?" Mikasa hissed, her gas canisters clicking as she sped up. Please be okay, please be okay... Reiner was approaching slowly, but getting closer all the time. He seemed to lack the speed that more nimble shifters had acquired, but his strength was simply unparalleled. As you stared down into one of Eren's gargantuan titan eyes, you struggled to see how he was going to win this one. "EREN!" you shouted, tempted to slap him awake, but you knew it would do no good- it would be like flies swatting at a cow's tail, their insignificance blaring. "EREN!" you shouted again as Mikasa turned to look at Reiner. "Eren, he's coming. Mikasa and I are going to buy you as much time as we can, but you can't give up. You can't let him win, not after everything he's done. Please, for me, get up." To both your and Mikasa's surprise, Eren's titan gave a loud grunt, from which steam poured and emitted from his mouth and nostrils. "That's my boy," you smiled, and tugged as hard as you could on a lock of his straggly brown hair. "We've gotta go," Mikasa said, withdrawing her blades as she spoke. You took no time in doing the same, your hands grasping the blades without really feeling them, the numbness and fatigue in your body being replaced by a crackling electricity and energy.

Immediately, you realized the challenge that was to be expected in breaking through Reiner's armor. It was several feet thick, and it was just as hard as the crystalline lattices that Annie had summoned on her titan. As you sliced towards the nape, your blades practically dissolved around you, shattering into dozens of pieces and shooting past your face. "Mikasa!" you tried to warn her not to waste her blades, but it was too late; she had already sunk them into the armor, leaving them vacant to the very hilt. "What are we gonna do?" she shouted back, fear rising in her voice. "GET AWAY!" you screamed as Eren's rising titan form materialized right in front of Reiner. You and Mikasa jumped away, a solitary tree in the field keeping you from a certainly devastating fall.
