Disclaimer: I do not own "The Outsiders" nor do I own any of the characters.

A/N: Switching it up a little bit! Next chapter will be Arie's POV, I promise!! And also- down below is "create a character" contest info that I'd LOVE if you read bc who doesn't want to date Ponyboy Curtis?

Johnny's POV-

I paces around the room waiting for Pony and Spencer to come back. It's been almost two hours..

"Home!!!" Pony yells, flinging open the door. Spencer walks in behind him, and I wrap my arms around her the minute she steps in.

"Calm down man she's alright," Pony says.

I whisper in her ear, "Spence, I just kept thinking. I just couldn't stop thinking. I thought, what if you started to like Pony, or what if you got lost or something, or what if you got jumped by socs, or-"

"Johnny. I'm fine. I'm here. And I like you," she says, looking into my eyes.

"YES! EYE CONTACT!" Pony yells from behind me. I glare at him.

"Okay, okay, sorry," Pony says, backing away into the kitchen. "I'll give ya some time."

"Spence..." I say, trailing off.

"You have nothing to worry about, Johnny," she says.

"Okay. I know," I say, sheepishly.

"Except for our date!" Pony chimes in, throwing Johnny his coat.

"Oh great. I thought you were kidding," I say, laughing a bit.

"Nah, I'm tons of fun! Right Spencer?" Pony says.

"Uhh.." she says, unsure of how to respond.

"That's a no," I say, laughing.

"Awh shoot man, come on," Pony says, pulling me out the door.

"Now listen here kiddies, don't get into too much trouble! And be home by 9! That's 9pm, not am, Pony. Pony! Do you hear me?!" Spencer yells playfully as the door slams.

We head down the road to Frankie's, a small restaurant us greasers like to hang at.

"After you, my love," Pony says, batting his eyelashes.

"Man, that's nasty," I say.

"Man I'm only kidding. I ain't gonna date my brother!" Pony says.

"What's Soda got to do with this?" I ask, jokingly.

"Aw come on man! You know I'm talkin' 'bout you!" Pony says, rolling his eyes.

"Bro's forever?" I ask with a light laugh.

"Bro's forever," he says. We sit down at the bar and each order a cola.

"So... what did you tell Spence about dating?" I ask, awkwardly.

"I told 'er whatchya like, and how to be a good girlfriend. Things like that," Pony says, shrugging. "She seemed a little lighter on the topic of datin' you after. Think I calmed her nerves. Would you believe that you're her first lover?"

"Really? No way... Spence... I can't be her first lover... she's so... and I'm so..." I say, stuttering in awe.

"She's yours, and you're hers. Aww, ain't it the cutest?" Pony says, batting his eyelashes again.

"Oh shuddup Ponyboy. Just tell me, what does she like? I don't want it to end... I don't want it to end badly, at least," I say.

"She likes sunsets. And music, she loves music. She likes to act, and to write, and she likes just relaxing," he says.

"So maybe take her out on a date to Looker's hill? For the sunset?" I say.

"On one of those colder nights, where it ain't so cold ya don't wanna go but it's cold enough.." Pony says.

"To bring a blanket and wrap my arms 'round her?" I ask. Pony nods in approval.

"Man, how're you still single? You know what you're talkin' 'bout..." I say.

"I dunno man," he says.

"If only Cherry wasn't datin' Bob!" I say.

"Man, it ain't like that. I mean, it used to be, but it ain't. I don't like nobody. I need a somebody. Not a soc girl who's taken, not a greaser girl who's a floozy. A real nice girl," he says.

"Well, too bad Spence doesn't have a twin," I say, jokingly.

"Yeah, too bad," he says, sipping his cola.

"She's special, ain't she?" I say, after a long pause.

"Who, Spencer?" he says, returning his attention to me.

"Yeah. She couldda had you. Or Soda, or any one of them greasers. Why'd she pick me?" I ask.

"Cause you're special too," Pony says.

"Thanks man. But Spencer... she's not just special, like, Tulsa special. She ain't from here, you can tell. She's so smart, and so tough, and so sweet, all at the same time. How can a person be all that? How can she be a greaser girl and still be like that?" I ramble.

"I dunno man. She ain't like them other greaser girls, that's for sure," Pony says.

"I'm glad you two are friends. I'm glad you're helpin' us with this," I say.

"I'm glad you got the girl," he says.

I smile, "I did get the girl, didn't I?"

"Ya sure did. But the next one's mine!" Pony says, jokingly.

"All yours," I say.

A/N: (READ BELOW FOR CONTEST- 2nd Paragraph)
Okay so I really love playing out Pony's character (as you can see). I just want you to know that I'm not acutally changing him, I'm just giving him more detail. I hope you like his relationship with Johnny & Spencer, and sorry if you're mad because I made him a little different than the book (more outgoing and funny and stuff, showing his emotion more since Spencer changed him) but I really felt that Pony's relationships in this are important. And I'm TOTALLY playing out the Pony/Johnny bromance xD. Idek this A/N isn't really needed but I felt the need to tell y'all how I felt on the matter.

Also, I'm looking for a girlfriend for Pony now. I've been introducing characters left and right, and I've finally gotten the cast list for everyone up. If you want to create a character, I'm looking for a 14-15 year old girl for Pony. So for all my active readers, you have the opportunity to make a character come to life...

Comment your character's...
(Example)
Name: Kayla Capucilli
Age: 14
Portrayed by: Lucy Hale
Traits (Physical): Brown hair, green eyes, full lips, ect.
Traits (Mental): Extremely artsy, day-dreamer, smiles 24/7, falls in love easily, somewhat short tempered, ect.

Try to keep the people portraying them in terms of famous but not so famous that they have a lot of haters and stuff, i/e taylor swift, arianna grande (nothing against them, I actually love them, but still). And don't be mad if I do change the character a little bit. OKAY THAT'S ALL LOVE MY ENTIRE 908 READS AND PLEASE CONTINUE READING :DDD
