AUTHOR'S NOTE:

So, I didn't want to skip over Spencer's reaction to the year, 1965, so I'm going to go back 2 weeks.

~Two weeks earlier~

Spencer's POV-

"No, it's not!" I say, laughing.

"Yes, it is," Dally says, seriously.

"He's right Spence," Johnny says.

"But... how!" I say, "I'm from 2015!"

"Spencer, are you feeling okay?" Pony asks.

"Yeah, fine, except it's 1965!" I say, in disbelief, "1965..."

"Guys, I think she's serious," Johnny says, "I mean, it's never happened before but who's to say that someone can't come from the future?"

"Johnny, you's talkin' crazy shit right now, are you feeling okay?" Dally asks.

"Yeah! I'm fine, it ain't me we should be worried 'bout. It's her," Johnny says, "How's she gonna get back to 2015?"

"I don't know," I say, "I don't know if I even can go back, or will. I don't remember anything about 2015, I don't even know who my friends were, or my sibling's middle names."

"That's somethin' awful," Ponyboy says.

"Yeah, it is. But I got you guys," I say, pulling them all into a hug, trying to keep my voice steady.

~2 weeks later (present day)~

It's been 2 weeks since I came to Tulsa, 2 weeks since I saw 2015. I've been staying with the Curtis', but I feel pretty bad about it, since Pony keeps sleeping on the couch, insisting that I take his bed, while Soda sleeps in Darry's room. I don't have anywhere else to go, though. Or so I thought.

"Hey Spencer," Dally says, tromping into the Curtis' house, "Wanna go to the Nightly Double?"

"Umm.. the what?" I ask.

"The Nightly Double! Just a drive in movie joint, you don't even 'needa pay!" Dally says, "We got a discount."

"Nah man! We got a hole in the fence!" Steve says, sticking his head out of the fridge.

"Well what movie are ya seein'? I ask.

"Shoot man, I dunno! I'm just feelin' like goin' to the movies!" Dally says, shrugging.

"Well okay then..." I say, "I ain't got nothing better 'ta do." So Dally and I head to the Nightly Double, crawl through a hole in a fence, and plop down in some seats.

~some time later~

"Well that sucked the life right outta me," Dally says.

"Yeah that was some boring shit," I say.

"Hey! Watch your mouth," Dally says, lightly hitting my arm.

"Why, y'all swear all the time!" I say.

"Yeah, cause we been like that forever, you got your own manners, you ain't gotta lose 'em just cause you go back in time," Dally tries to explain.

"It ain't easy, Dally," I say, "Y'all got an influence on me, I'm talkin' funny now too, that's just how it's gonna be."

"Yeah well, you ain't gotta swear," Dally grumbles.

"Kay... anyway..." I say, trying to move on.

"How ya liking the Curtis household?" Dally asks.

"Fine, but I feel bad. Pony's sleeping on the couch, and Soda is on the floor in Darry's room. I keep sayin', I'll take the couch, but you know Pony, he insists," I say, sighing.

"You ain't got no place else to stay?" Dally asks.

"Nah," I say, frowning.

"Well, uh, if you wanna, you can come stay at my place," Dally offers, "I'll warn ya though, it ain't as nice as the Curtis'."

"Really?" I ask, a little surprised.

"Yeah, I got another bed, and besides, the Curtis' have enough people in their house, I figure I could at the least take ya in," Dally says.

"Why?" I ask.

"I dunno.." Dally says.

"Yeah, ya do!" I say.

"Well, I dunno, you're like my kid sister, I mean, we ain't never had a girl greaser so close to us and you're like Pony's age and all but you ain't all annoying and stuff most of the time and I dunno I mean-"

I cut him off, "Thanks," I say.

"What for?" Dally asks.

"For takin' me in, for calling me not annoying most of the time, for being like a brother," I say.

"Anytime, sis, but if you tell them boys I have a soft side, I'll disown you!" Dally says with a light smile.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I say, rolling my eyes.
