Arie's POV-

I say goodbye to Soda and Steve and walk out of The DX. Unsure of what to do next, seeming as I don't have a home anymore, I head over to Emelie's.

"Hey Arie, you don't have work today, what's up?" Emelie asks.

"Well.." I say, trailing off.

"Hey, spill it," she says.

"Okay so I broke up with Ed for beating up a greaser girl and then Cherry and I got in a fight and so I went to go see Soda who said he likes me but I'm not sure how he likes me and I said I like him too but I'm not sure how I like him and then Soda had to go because his hours were over and he wanted to check home about something so I left because I mean what was I gonna do and then I realized that I live at Cherry's house but we're in a fight so I kinda can't do that so I came here and now I'm rambling sorry.." I say.

"Geez, okay, let it out honey. Well, you can stay here as long as you'd like. Though I do recommend going home and figuring things out with Cherry, or finding another place to stay," Emelie says.

"Yeah, thanks Emelie," I say.

"Anytime girlie," she replies.

I walk around the shop a bit. I've never really had the time to shop here, I've always been working, or broke. A lot of things catch my eye; a bright blue blouse, a flowing white skirt, sweaters in every color of pastel. I am really lucky to work here. And get a discount on clothes. I have a some money saved up, and let's just say.. I'm a stress shopper. An hour and $36 later, I leave Emelie's with brightly colored bags in my hands. The clothes are different from what I'm used to, considering its 1965, but Emelie's has very updated, high end fashion, so for being 1965, it's not too bad. I decide to go home to Cherry's house after all. I mean, she wouldn't kick me out of the house, would she?

It turns out, she would. 30 minutes later I'm packing my stuff and storming out the door.

"Where the hell am I supposed to go?!" I say to no one in particular, stomping down the sidewalks of Tulsa.

"Uh..." A boy says, passing by.

"Sorry... Sorry! I'm just.." I say.

"Lost?" The boy with dark hair and dark eyes says.

"Yeah, sorta," I say.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asks.

"Sure, why not?" I say, "Well let's see, I was dating this really awful guy and he did things I didn't agree with so I broke up with him. And then my friend, who I live with, got really mad at me and kicked me out of her house, so now I have nowhere to go live because I... Just moved here." I refrained to tell him I was from the future.

"Oh, hey well we have some room in my house.. I mean it probably ain't as nice as your friend's house but if ya need a place to stay..."

"Wait, really?" I ask.

"Yeah! Ain't a problem!" he says.

"Thanks so much.. wait.. what's your name?" I ask.

"Johnny. Johnny Cade. What's yours?" he asks.

"Arianna Quinn, but you can call me Arie" I say.

"Are you a soc?" he asks.

"I don't see the point in labels," I say.

"Interesting," he says, "I'm a greaser, thick-n-through, but you're still welcome no matter what you are."

"Okay, thanks Johnny" I say.

"Anytime Arie," he replies.
