Chapter 34: The new greaser

Spencer's POV-

Who the hell is this bitch? She just strolls in with Soda, wearing Johnny's jacket, and she supposedly has been living with Johnny? What?! Okay... calm down S, you don't even know her yet. She did break up with her boyfriend because he beat me up.. so
I guess she's not necessarily a terrible person.. I guess. She still makes me uncomfortable. I swear I know her from somewhere, I just don't know where, and it's bugging the crap out of me. Then again, that's not all I don't remember. I can't even remember where I moved here from 4 months ago.. I really have no idea how I got here or where my family is.. if I even have one? It's all just a blur. But that's not important, what's important is Johnny is cheating on me with this.. this.. this Barbie doll!  Okay.. maybe he isn't.. Johnny wouldn't do that, would he? No.. I don't think so.. Not after everything we've been through. But still, I don't like her.

"Well this isn't awkward at all!" Two-Bit laughs, breaking the silence. More silence follows this comment.

"Cake anyone?" Darry asks, heading to the kitchen.

"You know me! Always up for cake!" Steve says.

"Me too!" Soda says, "Pony, you want some cake?"

"Sure, I could go for some cake... Johnny? How about you? You fancy some cake?" Pony asks.

"Well I sure do, as long as Spencer joins me!" he says, kissing my cheek. I frown.

"Sure, why not..." I say. I pause "You.. what's your name again?" I ask, pointing to the girl.

"Arie," she says.

"Do you want to join us for cake, Arie?" I ask, slowly.

"Sure," she says.

"Oh thanks guys, I'll just help myself and we can break this little streak," Dally says, walking in front of all of us and grabbing a slice of chocolate cake. "I'll take a beer too," he adds. Steve throws him a beer and we all sit in silence, eating our cake.

"Good cake," Pony says.

"Yeah," Johnny says.

"Thanks," Darry says.

"What'd you put in it?" Steve asks.

"The usual," Darry says.

"Oh," is all Steve can think to say.

"So Arie.. did you catch everyone's names?" Soda asks, trying to make conversation.

"Yeah, I think so!" Arie says.

"Well in case you didn't, I'm Spencer. I'm Johnny's girlfriend," I say.

"I know that, thanks," she says. More silence.

"How did you meet Soda?" Pony asks.

"Oh, I unofficially met him at a school dance.. my boyfriend... er... ex-boyfriend Ed, he made a scene with Soda, Soda was just trying to do the right thing and Ed was in the wrong.. and from then on I didn't really trust Ed. When I really met Soda at the DX I already kind of knew who he was," she says.
