DISHONESTY

Amara lay in her bed watching herself cry on the ceiling mirror in her bedroom, pathetic! Still finding it hard to believe how her world came crashing down just a few minutes ago and in the manner it did. How could she believe that a man like Tor would be single at his age. She noticed the light on her phone flash through the mirror but ignored it. She had it on do not disturb as soon as she got into her home. The home she had bought with Tor, just the thought of his name made her nauseous but she had vomited every last remains of everything she had had today as soon as she stepped into the house.

'' Mara''

The feel of soft lips kissing the side of her face, woke her up from her slumber. Not sure when she slept since not so long ago she was crying over her love.

'' Tor!''

She quickly pushed him away as she shot up from her lateral position after recalling that he was the only who could be kissing her.

'' Amara. I'm sorry.''

''Get out!''

''Babe please just let me explain.''

'' There's nothing to explain Tor!, just get your shit and get out of my house before I burn all of your clothes.''

'' Baby please listen to-"

'' There's nothing you have to say that I want to hear, you lied to me!''

''I know and I'm sorry but I knew you would not give me a chance knowing I was married.''

'' Yeah! You're damn right I wouldn't have. Somebody already gave you a chance and her heart at that. Akilah is a beautiful woman and she doesn't deserve your lies.''

'' You know nothing about our marriage. Please don't speak o-''

'' I don't give a fuck. Take your shit get the fuck out!''

'' Amara come on, we have kids together. Think about them.''

'' Think about them?! Did you think about me when you got me pregnant huh!?''

''You weren't complaining then-''

'' I believed you loved me!''

He walked up to her as she continued packing his belongings and flung the suitcase in the opposite direction earning a gasp from her.

'' Just let me explain.''

'' Tor I don't want your explanation. I don't want nothing but for you to leave me alone!''

She said pushing him away before punching his large chest with her tiny fists while sobbing.

'' I never lied about my feelings.''

'' How could you do this to me Tor!?''

'' Mara I'm sorry. I love you.''

Amara scoffed.

''Love me! Do you even know what love is?....... She told me that you have been together since she was sixteen. That means I'm the side chick here. I can't believe this shit!!''

Tor scrunched up her eyebrows when she began laughing.

'' Why are you laughing?''

'' It's just funny to me that I believed_ Is she the mother of your oldest son?''

'' Am-''

'' Answer me!''

'' Yes, she is but I-''

'' So this is why you never wanted your son to meet me or for me to meet your parents. How could I have been so stupid!''

'' Babe you're not stupid.-''

'' Then what am I? You played me for almost four ye__ what am I even saying. Just get out!''

With the little strength she could just up, she pushed him out till he surrendered and left.
