Afia stepped into the huge mansion to be welcomed by sharp broken glasses leading from the front door and ended on the stairs. The house looked like it was ransacked, if it wasn't for the fact that everything else was in place she would be calling the local police. She went into the kitchen upon hearing a voice in there. Where she found her close friend with her phone in her hand and a glass of what looked like cognac in the other.

" Akilah?"

" Hey Fifi."

" What happened?"

"I lost it."

" What do you mean?"

"I'm trying to call my dear sweet husband but he won't take any of my calls. Funny hey."

With every word she spoke a hiccup followed it and there was an empty bottle of a famous cognac in the sink and one that was almost half done.

" Did you drink this Keke?"

" Yep_"

She gave an intoxicated giggle.

" Once upon a time he used to call me more than twice a day and was always quick to answer my calls but now he won't answer a simple text. I've fucked up."

" See what we're not going to do is put the blame on you when he was the one who cheated and started a whole family out there."

" ...but I have, I called his kids bastards, they did nothing wrong but be born. I should have reserved the name calling for that bitch! Who's taking my husband away frome me."

Afia scrunched up her nose in disgust when she cried, it was ugly and her breath reeked of alcohol.

" Honey but they're bastards, he had those children out of wedlock."

" Not to him, he feels I was disrespectful since he has done nothing but treat and love Akon as he would his own-"

" Well that doesn't mean shit. He was the one who pushed you into the arms of another man with him always being gone from home. If he was home, you wouldn't have cheated and had a baby with Isaac."

" I still was in a committed relationship with him and he was working during those times. Building a future for me."

" One you will definitely lose if you let that little bitch get away with interfering in your marriage. Youve been patient for too long just to let her win."

" Does it even matter anymore? I know he's not staying at any of his residencies and James nor David know where he is."

" Those are his cousin's they live on family code and bro code, they would do anything for him. They're probably hiding him with her and their bastard children as we speak. Don't be dumb Akilah."

Akilah believed her friend really cared for her and her marriage, that she advised her for the betterment of her marriage but that was far from it. Afia had her own score to settle, though it had been more than ten years since the woman she thought was her bestfriend went after the man she loved, she wanted her revenge. When she had specifically told her in highschool that she was inlove with Tor, Akilah made a move on him and that hurt Afia. Although they were not together, she expected her to respect that she was crushing on him. Afia felt betrayed and developed a hatred for Akilah.
