SISTERHOOD
' What I don't get is how you got pregnant with his child for the second time?'
Amara knew her sister would ask her this exact question, hence she had kept her pregnancy from her for this long. She was not happy when she told her that she was pregnant and not married to the dad the first time. Then when she told her about Tor being married, she could not wait to say "I told you so." Bella was married and never understood how she could just give a man her all without even a ring in her finger.
' Stupidity. I believed him, before the truth came out, when he said that he was going to marry me and that he loved me. When he made me feel like I was the only girl in the world. I believed his lies and that's why I'm a single mother to three of his children. I really believed that he was the one and now I don't know what to do. '
' I know he was your first love, basically first everything and mom was never really a mother to guide us but Amy come on! You were taught about protection, pregnancy sex and STD's in school. You also saw what happened to mom and most of the women around us because of these lying men growing up. How can you let this idiot hoodwink you like that.'
' I know how-'
' No you don't know, if you knew you wouldn't have had his child in the first place. You would have been wiser to his tricks, to his infedility and lies.'
As much as she wanted to hang up in her face, she would not because she did not want to hurt her sister's feelings. People always told her she was too nice for her own good and her mother called her a gullible stupid bitch. Recently those words have been haunting her every thought and were part of the reason she had sleepless nights.
' You know I love you and I hate to see that you have wasted your life on this man. He's home with his wife and now you're single with three kids. You know no man will want somebody else's baby mama.'
' There's just too much going on in my life right now for me to worry about ever dating. I just want to to raise my kids. I know this is a little too late but I learnt my lesson.'
' You're right, it's a little too late and if you ask me!, you should have just aborted that child when you found out. It may sound a little harsh but somebody has to say it. This man has brought you nothing but stress and you're out here popping your coochie for him like it's popcorn. You should have .....'
Amara regretted answering her sister's facetime call as she went off on her rant. Not caring about how Amara was feeling and this is why she never talked to her about her issues. Bella always somehow twisted every situation to be about her and she got that from their parents.
'' I hear you but there's no use crying over spilt milk."
