DECLARATION

Tor was conflicted on how to handle the situation he was in. Although  many people would think it impossible but he loved both the woman in his life and did not feel he loved them differently or did he? He never believed it was possible to love two women till he met Amara on that trip he took with his boys. For the first time in his life, he experienced love at first site and was overjoyed when he found out she was having his children. Her dark skin was what made him notice her. Then her caring, loving and friendly nature was what drew him to her. Only to really fall for her when he really got to know her.

'' So when are you going to tell Akilah about Amara?''

'' What are you talking about?''

'' I'm talking about your affair with Amara."

" What affair?-"

" Don't act dumb, I saw the shock in that girl's eyes and on her face, when she looked at you..."

He literally went pale.

" Mama I-"

"I thought I'd raised you better than that.''

He would never have thought that anyone would have figured it out but he was a bit relieved that his mother knew as it eased some of his burdens.

'' You did mma but I fell inlove-''

'' Don't give me that bullshit,how could you fall for somebody else when you have a whole wife at home!?"

" I did not plan it mma."

" Don't you know you can't have your cake and eat it?!''

'' I know but I do not want to lose any of them. I know it's wrong and unfair but I love them both, equally.''

' Impossible!, you're just confused."

" No disrespect but I know-"

" You cannot compare your love for the woman who has been by your side since day one to some fat girl you're infatuated with. Akilah has been there since the beginning.''

'' I know mma bu-''

'' How could you do that to the mother of your child?"

" It's not as black and white as you think."

" What do you know about this Amara? Are you sure she's not some gold digger?''

'' She's an independent woman and she never even asks me to do anything-''

The look on his mother's face made him realise he had said too much.

'' I don't care. You better end this thing with that girl!"

" Well she wants nothing to do with me now."

" Why?"

" She didn't know I was married."

" Bull!! Is she trying to make you feel bad for having a wedding?"

" No, I swear she never-"

" How when you scream married. She just chose-"

" Mma I don't want to talk about this."

" Too bad you're going to have to talk about it and fix this!"

'' That's what I'm trying to do but Amara won't let me.''

'' I am talking about Akilah. I don't care for your mistress. You better come clean before this Amara does it for you.''

'' She's not like that mma.''

His mother shook her head and kissed her teeth. Being that his father cheated on her too. She knew how much it hurt.

'' Poor woman, she's been with you through thick and thin, I will not support you. Son or not.''

'' I never planned this."

He knew he had to come clean but he did not want to hurt anyone.
