'' Sadie stop it! Stop pulling your brother's hair.''

The doorbell rang just as she fought to remove her two year old daughter's grip from her son's hair, who screamed bloody murder. She was not expecting anyone and wondered who could be on her doorstep this late in the afternoon.

'' I hope it's not Tor because I will slam the door in his face.''

She mumbled to herself. Two hours had passed since she knocked off work and had been home with her children ignoring Tor's texts and calls.

'' Surrrrpriseeee!!''

Luckily it was only her closest friends who stood at her doorstep with bags in their arms. She was both relieved and happy to see them.

'' What are you two doing here?''

'' We came to cheer you up and comfort you, what do you mean what are we doing here?.''

'' I don't mean it like that, it's just that you're both married women with kids and cannot afford impromptu travelling. Did your partners agree to this?''

'' We don't need permission to come visit our friend but since you're asking Rich knows I'm here.''

'' So does Mlu and our kids are with their grandparents.''

'' Well I'm glad you guys are here. I needed this.''

'' Yes! We brought drinks too. Now where do you keep your wine glasses and your pots?.''

The duo began to cook dinner while she sat with them in the kitchen. The twins both in their feeding chairs.

'' So what's happened after the incident with Tor's wife?''

'' I have been ignoring his calls, texts and impromptu visits to the store, so I haven't seen him in four days."

" I forget how cold you become when hurt."

" He did pay for my store to be cleaned, the dresses they took and those that they ruined.''

'' He better!.''

'' I just need time to think everything through you know. I was really ready to let him see the twins after he had come clean to his wife but them attacking me changed everything."

" It's not his fault though."

" In a way it is and I won't risk it."

" You think she would cause harm to the twins?"

" Yeah, her behaviour scared me. What if I take them there and she does something to them. I'll never forgive myself.''

'' You need to communicate that with him though. You cannot just ignore the guy and hope he goes away.''

'' I wouldn't hurt to try right?.''

The girls both laughed like she was not being serious.  She was ready to pack up and go so that she no longer have to deal with this man. She hated him and wanted to do everything in her power to hurt him back.

'' You trying to hurt him back will hurt the kids babe and as much as I do not like him right now, you have to let him be in the twins lives.''

''  Yeah the husbands were so hurt when they found out he had a whole other life. To them you're like their younger sister and they feel bad for not protecting you. Hence they agreed to us visiting you.''

'' They shouldn't blame themselves, I'm the one who should have known or atleast suspected something but I was blinded by love and lust.''

Thinking back on their relationship there were a few red flags but she ignored them then.
