GIST
Afia walked into her longtime friends home on a mission. She had news to tell her that she definitely knew would hurt her marriage but she did not care. Akilah always liked to rub her perfect life in her face. So when juicy gossip like this landed in her ears, she had to share with her happy bestie. She loved discovering how it was not all sunshine and rainbows. She was messy, as the Americans say.
'' Hey love.''
She sighed as if the weight of the world was on her shoulders but it was just her indirectly rejoicing for the toxins she was about to spew out.
'' Hey Fifi. Why do you look like you just broke the heel off one of your favourite shoes?''
'' Argh! Don't remind me. I broke a heel just a few days ago from shock.''
'' What shocked you so bad that you broke a heel?"
'' Your husband and __uhm_ wait is he here?"
" No he's at work."
'' Or with his mistress."
'' No. No. No. I'm not listening to you again. Tor was mad at me for a week after listening to you and secretly attempting to have the twins DNA tested.''
'' It's not my fault you did not think to use a hospital that did not have his details on file. Anyway this is nothing like that. Can I get a glass of wine?."
Akilah went into the kitchen to make her something to drink before sitting down to hear what she had to say. Though Tor had told her to stop hanging around Afia and listening to every thing she told her, Akilah was still curious. She loved finding out things and using them against him in a manipulative manner. Just like she still dangled the fact that she has been there for him before the fame and fortune.
'' Out with it Fifi.''
'' I need you to brace yourself because this is big.''
'' Everything is big with you."
" I'm being honest."
She obliged, trusting nothing she had to say but still she needed to know.
'' I don't know how to say this but the girl is pregnant again and my sources say they've been going to her monthly checkups these past three months together.''
Akilah did not want to believe her but lately Tor had been having more meetings than usual and she had followed him for a week to find out if the meetings were real and they were but then again checkups are monthly not everyday. He could have gone with her to the doctor when she least suspected him.
'' I don't believe you. Amara has avoided him since she found out about me and I also threatened her.''
'' You've been lied to. Here look for yourself.''
An unknown number had sent her friend pictures of his husband and baby momma outside and inside the women's clinic. Though they looked more like friends accompanying each other, she knew better. To think she had listened to him when he claimed Amara was not speaking to him. What caught her eye was how small her bump looked, suggestive of that the pregnancy was still in it's early stages. Which meant he slept with her recently.
'' Hoes are really getting bolder and most disrespectful these days, huh?! Maybe I should pay this little homewrecker a visit.''
'' Yes let's go.''
