You and I , we are embers from the same fire, we are  dust from the same star, we are echos of the same love.... author unknown

Let me connect to the very core of your soul. I want to trace my fingers below, absorb everything beneath the galaxies on your skin. Intensifying each pulse from your awakened heart. I only want to touch all the constellations from your sky within. Words by Jen.
Music by Red , 'Hymn for the missing' .  This is  song form Rey's point of view. So heartbreaking.

The desert wind blew hot and gritty over the dunes and cracked the dry parched ground. Heat waves rippled and shimmered through the desolate landscape. Wamp Rats scurried into their dens, avoiding a hungry Dewback. Tatooine was an inhospitable, unwelcoming planet, but one young women chose to call it her temporary home. Rey stood watching the two suns sink lower in the sky. The last of their heat warming her skin. A hot breeze blew a wisp of hair into eyes and as she wiped it away she felt moisture on her cheek. She only allowed herself to get melancholy and misty eyed at night, when she could go inside her dwelling and be safe. It wouldn't be a good to let your guard down in the day time.
Living on the lawless outer rim planet was daunting but Rey Skywalker knew how to take care of herself. Growing up on a similar planet, Jakku, she knew the risks and dangers of living alone .
The Jawas were easy to scare, but there were other menacing creatures that were more threatening. The Hutt gangsters were foolish enough to visit her once, intent on intimidation and extortion and never repeated it again. Rey showed them her skills with her lightsaber, cutting the arm off of one and killing another. She heard a voice inside her head say "That's my girl !" with Solo pride .
The cool dark night was falling fast and nocturnal creatures were just waking up and preparing to hunt. Rey risked staying out just a little longer, her eyes drawn up to the night sky dotted with millions of stars. She had heard his voice and knew he was out there somewhere. Her heart knew it ! She could feel him through their bond. It was still thrumming strong and steady. She just wanted to stay outside just a little longer. The connection was the strongest when there was nothing but space between them.
But it was risky, not to mention the temperature was dropping to freezing cold. Rey shivered and reluctantly retreated back inside the old Lars homestead.
She lit several candles and began preparing her evening meal. She was feeling extra weepy this evening and for once was glad for her solitude. Finn and Poe would tease and pester her relentlessly if they knew she was in a bad mood. They were just like her big brothers, lovingly protective , bossy , annoying and intrusive, but she missed them terribly.
They communicated back and forth frequently, and they begged her to come back and live again. They disapproved of her hiding away by herself. Cutting all ties to humanity. They didn't understand her need to be alone, to be able to meditate and commune with the Force.
She couldn't deal with frivolous distractions and forced smiles. She couldn't pretend to be cheerful when her heart was breaking from something that even she had a hard time understanding.
She did miss them but there were others she missed more. They were no longer here but never forgotten. She knew she shouldn't morn them but she couldn't stop the hurt. How can you just turn your heart off and tell it to be quiet? Not to feel? That would be like asking her to not breathe.
She had seen Luke and Leia's Force ghosts and knew they had become one with the Force, but Ben had not appeared. She knew in her very bones he was still alive, just somewhere else. Waiting patiently for her to learn what she needed to learn and become stronger in the Force. When she heard his voice the first time it was like cool water pouring into her parched soul. Their connection, their bond was not broken or even damaged. As long as one of them was in the living world their Dyad would remain indestructible. They could feel each other across time and space. From one world to the other.
