She loved him because he had brought her back to life.
She had been like a caterpillar in a cocoon.
And he had drawn her out and shown her she was a butterfly  .....author unknown

It was the Force connection their shared that gave her the vision. She had taken to wearing the Aki-Aki necklace every day . She believed it had the power to make their  connection stronger .  The vision she experienced was precise and clear down to the smallest detail. "Ben, I love you too!" It felt so wonderful to have those words come off her lips and to hear them come from him.
She wanted to throw her arms around him and kiss him but she couldn't. She pushed down the ache that threatened to consume her.
Instead hopefulness and joy filled her heart! She felt a renewed sense of optimism. She must tell him of her vision! " Ben, the portal is on Ahch -island. I know how to get you out! I'm coming!"
The island held many secrets. The ancient Jedi order had their beginnings on that island. It was shrouded in mystery and legends. Many stories about strange goings on were whispered about it throughout the galaxy. Did it even really exist? Way out there on the outer rim. No one in living memory had ever been there. Tales were told over fireplaces and gaming tables about a planet where no one ever came back if they dared to see if the rumors were true. Was is just a scary story to tell to naughty children and the gullible?

Tales of dark rituals and human sacrifices . Portals to other dimensions. Jedi magic. Strange exotic beasts roamed all over the island, attacking and eating anyone who dared step foot on it. All which were ridiculous and untrue. But it kept curious, meddlesome busy body's off the island.

The island caretakers were very private creatures and didn't like to be disturbed, but they were to welcome some one who was definitely going to be disturbing.
As the connection began to slowly fade, an unusual thing occurred. A Blue butterfly fluttered around Rey's head and landed on her shoulder. She did not know the significance of the sign. They were a symbol of life, love, change and rebirth. They could also easily pass between worlds and bless a new love or friendships. They were thought to grant wishes , if the person asking was worthy of their help. Rey and Ben were more than worthy. They would help lead the way!
