Ben and Rey a True Dyad part one THE SOLO FAMILY SAGA

Learning about you

Ben loved Naboo. It's beauty was like nothing he had ever seen before. Maybe being with the one you loved makes everything more beautiful. He also felt a deep connection to his grandmother , this was her home planet.
He and Rey continued their honeymoon, swimming naked in the lake , taking picnics to a field full of wild flowers. Talking about themselves and learning about each other. Things Rey would have never guessed her strong and virile husband had a soft a and sensitive  side. When he was a teen he found a injured frightened animal. He was on a mission with Luke and stumbled into a den of Warbacks. He had inadvertently stepped on a cub and broken its leg.  He carefully carried it back to camp and healed it with the Force. Luke had disapproved , thinking it was a waste of Jedi power, but Ben couldn't stand to see the poor creature suffer and possibly die because of his carelessness.
He also loved the water. When you live in deep space on a space ship there is very little chance of seeing large lakes or even small streams. He took to swimming like a fish. Doing laps every morning. Rey enjoyed swimming to. She understood his appreciation of water when she grew up on a desert planet and moisture was rare.
He teased her about her size saying she was getting as big as a Seggor Whale . In reality the whale was revered by the Quarren for the strength they possessed and its fight for survival.
She teased him back , threatening him with her lightsaber, which was inconveniently left in the villa.
Rey was so lovely to look at, especially when he vexed her .  He couldn't get enough of just watching her . She lay on the beach after they had made love, then they had slept.  He woke first and had time to just stare at her and marvel that some how the Force chose her for his Dyad.         
               How did he get so lucky? 
              She had seven tiny freckles  across her nose and cheeks and her lashes were black and thick.  Sometimes she even talked in her sleep.  More like mumbling and Ben tried not to laugh , it was too adorable.
                          Her hair had grown  long since he had seen her last. It almost reached her waist and had golden highlights. It was long enough to modestly cover her bare breast that were exposed to the sun.He hope that they would not get sun burned because he planned to have them for desert tonight. 
                        Last night Rey had the pleasure of studying his face as he slept. He had been snoring loudly and it woke her up. First she was annoyed . She realized sleeping with someone else will take some getting use to. He even hogged the covers.   His face was so peaceful when he slept.  After all that he went through with Snoke  he deserved peace.  His face had healed from the brawl with Finn and Poe.  It was hard to kiss him at first because she didn't want to hurt him.  But he didn't mind.  He would crawl over broken glass for her.
               Today they had taken a short hike up to a waterfall.  The sight overwhelmed Rey and she nearly cried. Ben was standing behind her and wrapped her in his protective embrace.  He kissed the top of her head . " I don't know why I'm so emotional today." She sniffed .  The  pregnancy hormones were raging .  Maybe the hike took to much out of her. Ben felt bad and suggested they rest. 
                         She snuggled close to him and sighed.  Maybe now would be a good time to bring up a subject that might be unsettling to her husband.
                          "Ben,  I've been thinking about starting a new Jedi Temple."   " Hum?"  Ben wasn't really listening. He was more involved with tracing the outline of her neck with his lips, intending to drive her to distraction.
He diverted her with his delicate kisses and she almost forgot what she wanted to discuss with him. It was something important, what was it? Shaking her mind free from the delicious kisses he kept distracting her with. Rey grabbed his face so he'd stop. His lips kept on moving like a fish and she broke out laughing. He had heard everything she had said and was just stalling. He hadn't much luck with Jedi temples. Ok, he did get married in one but that one was already damaged beyond repair. The other he literally burned to the ground.
She sensed something was bothering him when he was quiet for far to long. "Ben, what is it?" She asked with concern. He seemed tense so she rubbed his back and shoulders to relax him . He looked at the ground and exhaled slowly, but said nothing. "You know I can get inside your head and find out for myself." He grunted, remembering when they had gotten into each other's mind the first time, and discovered secrets they wished to keep hidden.
He looked deep into her hazel eyes and with a grave voice said "You know I can't keep secrets from you. .......(long awkward pause). "I'm not sure I could do it. I'm not very good with Jedi doctrine." She knew this runs deep. Knowing what he'd gone through with his Uncle Luke and the other Padawans ,she could understand his hesitation. She wanted to reassure him this would work out. "We can make it our way! A Grey training temple. She said excitedly. He loved her for thinking of him. It didn't age to be a straight up Jedi Temple. It could be a little bit of both.
The dark side wouldn't be bad and forbidden, that just led to curiosity and straying. Fear , anger and hatred is the product of the dark side. Ben's life had been consumed by it for so long, now he had turned his life around. He had broken his bonds.
If taught the way of the Grey there would be balance. The rules would be different. You could have attachments. They could be a powerful encouragement to achieve peace in the galaxy. You could start at any age, just as long as you were Force sensitive. There would be tests and if you weren't Force sensitive, there would be other things you could do. You weren't kicked out just because you didn't meet all requirements.
All that was required was dedication, a love of learning and a willingness to want to make the galaxy a better place.
