As Light as Air

                                     When love runs soul deep
A kiss is no longer just a kiss
It is the place where heaven and earth meet.
                                                                                                                                        Daniel Nielsen

A small movement under his hand brings him back to the moment. He feels a warm hand pressed on top of his and in disbelief opens his eyes to see Rey looking back at him. Her eyes went wide with surprise.
He felt incredible, it had worked for him!  It was a miracle!  He no longer felt pain and grief , the scar on his face had disappeared. They stare at each other for a brief moment. He tries to convey to her how sorry he is for all the fighting and misunderstanding between them. "Ben" she whispers, her happiness at seeing him fully turned is realized in a spontaneous kiss, and for a brief moment in time there are two less lonely people in the world.

The sensation is breathtaking and makes him dizzy. The kiss is deep and meaningful. She wanted him to know how thankful she is to him. She's overjoyed that he's Ben again. She pulled away, breaking the kiss and gazed at him in wonder. Her fingers gently caress his cheek and hair. Was is ok for her to do that? How will he respond to her spontaneity? A broad grin spreads across his face and a low chuckle escaped his lips. He feels light as air. Nothing this wonderful has ever happened to him before! The shackles that have been binding him have dropped away. They were broken by that astonishing kiss, and her love in return.
Then he feels another sensation. A kind of whisper in his ears. A calling warm and inviting. He can't resist its pull and with the feeling of Rey's hand finally in his, he closes his eyes and falls back hitting the ground hard, then disappears.
Rey felt Ben go cold in her arms and was shocked when he fell backwards and suddenly faded away. She blinked, unwilling to believe her own eyes. Burning hot tears scorched her cheeks as she stared at the spot Ben had been sitting at only moments ago. Nothing was as wrong as this! The unfairness and cruelty of taking him just when he had turned to the light and found love. She didn't even have a chance to revive him. She didn't get a chance to tell him of her feelings. All that was left of him was his tunic, trousers and boots. She gathered them up and hugging them to herself, ran out of the demolished Sith cathedral.

The last time I felt alive,
I was looking into your eyes,
Breathing your air
Touching your skin
Saying good bye
The last time I felt alive ......I was dying. Ranta Suzuki
I had to add this short poem because it so perfectly fits the heart ache we all feel . It's so beautifully sad. Don't you just want to bawl when you read this?
