Or what happens you are always connected..... Cassady Caine

Rey knew she couldn't pull off a rescue mission all on her own. She needed her  adopted brothers for support and encouragement.   Recruiting Poe,Finn and Chewy  was too easy.  No bribing was necessary.  They were always eager for an adventure.  The three of them had been going from system to system helping anyway they could to fix and repair the damage the First Order had inflicted on the innocent.
Poe had tried his hand at politics, thinking he could follow in General Organa's footsteps.  But when he saw the corruption and  dishonesty , he wanted no part of it. He could use his skills better elsewhere. He teamed up with Finn and  Chewbacca who had been  rebuilding  the hope of a  beleaguered  galaxy. When they had heard from Rey, that she needed their assistance on a top secret mission they were all in.
The Falcon touched down with a slight bump. The landing gears sinking a foot into the mud. It was not an easy task landing such a large vessel on such a small island. But if Poe was behind the controls he would be able to land it on a wamp rats nose.   High winds were whipping the sea grass and island vegetation in all directions.  Porgs were sheltering in their nests as the storm raged .  The island caretakers were safely warm in their huts, blissfully unaware of the invasion to their quite  peaceful island.
Black clouds rolled over head and burst open, letting a deluge of rain soak the sodden ground.  Even the weather knew something extraordinary was taking place.
The occupants of the Falcon watched lightening streak across the darkened sky. Then a clap of thunder shook the walls without mercy.   Just as Rey was heading to the gang plank to open it  and leave Finn spoke up.  "Rey, there's no way your going out there now."  Concern in his  voice.  Rey shot back with a 'don't try to stop me' look in his direction.   She still hadn't told them the truth of her mission. They just assumed it was for Jedi reasons.  If they had been told that it was a rescue mission and who she was rescuing, they would leave the island immediately and drop her in the closest Saracc  pit and come back for her after she came to her senses.
"What's so important that it  can't wait until the storm has passed?" Poe asked reasonably, making Rey all the more vexed.   "I have to go now!" The urgency in her  heart  growing  with every minute lost. "It can't wait!"
The men and Wookie looked at her as if she had lost her mind.  They all had noticed subtle changes in her demeanor.  Her behavior was jumpy and distracted.  Not like the level headed Rey they knew. Her moods would swing like a pendulum, intense and moody one minute then, be just fine and sweet the next.
Poe noticed something that escaped Finn.  He knew the outlines of a woman's body. He held  Zorii in his arms and knew of their mood swings at certain times of the month.  Rey had changed her style of clothing as well.  She used to wear tight fitting britches for running and climbing, now her style was loose and roomy. A slight roundness to her middle drew his eyes down and he got a funny feeling she was withholding something . He didn't think it was his place to pry but if she was , what he suspected he'd strangle the guy that left her in this condition.
He wasn't letting her go anywhere until he had an explanation of why she thought it was so urgent that she'd run off into a hurricane. "Rey, what's going on , why are you in such a hurry to leave , just stay here until it passes!" Poe growled a little to harshly and she burst into tears.   Finn, feeling sympathetic, wrapped her in a big brotherly hug and kissed the top of her head.  She looked into his large brown eyes and felt her heart melt.  "I can't tell you, just let me go." She whispered. She was determined and when she dug her heals in they knew it was hopeless to talk her out of it.
"You can tell us when your ready." He spoke soothingly.  She was so grateful for his understanding and  patience.  "Hey, let me go with you."  He was pleading with her . Finn was worried sick with her state of mind  running off into a storm , what is she thinking!   " No, I have to do this on my own."  Chivalry still lurked in the heart of this amazing man.  "Just be careful out there OK."  She was so grateful to him for putting up with her strange  moods and outbursts.    He didn't sign up for this. He could have left long ago when she got difficult, but he loved her to much to ever abandon her.
Taking off his  warm jacket, he placed it around her shoulders. He silently nodded his acquiescence. He was reluctant to see her go by herself but he did know  she'd kick his back side if he followed. "And don't follow me!"
Dang!  She still could read his mind.     "I have a very bad feeling about this."  Poe murmured under his breath.
