"We are having this nice treat together because of Soobin," Xiao Zhan said, "Let's give a toast to her."

We all raised our glasses.

A waiter served the dishes Xiao Zhan ordered for us.

"As we know about your identity," Shijie said, "You can open up with us, dear."

"Tell us more about your family, Soobin," Yibo said.

"Well, all of you know about my dad, I guess. My mom has been handling our business in Singapore and has been away from us for about 5 years for that," I said.

"5 years at a stretch?" He asked in wonder.

"Hmm," I said, "Dad is also into his business trips. We hardly get the chance to meet one another."

"It must've been very tough for you," Yibo asked.

"Since it has been many years, maybe you've got used to it," Xiao Zhan said.

"Well, that might not be true," I said, "Our financial condition wasn't the same as today since the beginning. Our family was a middle-incomed yet happy family. The happiest thing in our life was the four of us being together."

I sighed.

"But things changed so suddenly...... Dad's business became way more successful than we imagined. We became one of the richest families in China in the blink of an eye," I said, "Soomin-jie was sent abroad for her studies. We were going far from each other. My parents were so adept into their work that they couldn't see that I was struggling to catch up with the new lifestyle."

"What happened when you grew up?" Shijie asked.

"I was quite alone during my high school days. All my classmates stayed away from me because we were too rich," I replied, "So when I went to college, I started hiding my identity. I wore masks and hoodies, so that no one recgnizes me. During that time I had only two friends, Yu Bin was one of them."

"Then what did you do after college?" Bowen-ge asked.

"After college I went to the USA for higher studies," I replied, "When I returned to China, dad sent me for Army training."

"You went through Army training," Yibo said, "That's cool!"

"Yes, it is," I grinned, "After the training had ended, I asisted in dad's business for about two years. Then he agreed to give me a one-year break."

"And now you're here with us," Xiao Zhan said.

"Hmm," I smiled.

"Can I ask you something?" Bowen-ge said, "What's your future plan?"

"Well," I laughed, "When this job is done, I have to join my father's company. Work there until I retire. Then I'll buy a small house on an island and live there until I die. Simplest future plan ever!"

All laughed out loud.

"Look kid, I'm telling you, you can keep on doing what you like to do alongside managing your father's business," Bowen-ge said, "Just the way Shijie, Zhan-zhan and I do."

"I would love to do so," I chuckled, "But perhaps my parents would hate the idea."

"Why?" Yibo asked, "Haven't told them about your preferences?"

"I tried to convince them several times," I said, "But they would never listen. They think that the most important thing is to be rich and be at comfort. But they didn't notice that happiness and independence was all I ever wanted."
