☆Callie's POV☆

I see Bruce look down in shock at the scepter in his hands. He must've been in some sort of trance. He gathers his senses quickly as a beeping sound came from one of the computers. Everyone seems slightly more on track as Bruce places the weapon back down and runs over to the computer.

"Sorry, kids, you don't get to see my party trick after all," he says as he checks the screen. I feel the urge to go over and help, but something holds me back. I had felt a disturbance of some sort that had made me twitch slightly earlier, and something feels off. It's bothering me that I can't figure out what.

"You've located the Tesseract?" Thor turns to Bruce as conversation erupts in the room again.

"I can get there faster," Tony boasts.

"The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it," Thor protests.

"You're not going alone," Steve says to Tony, but Tony rejects him.

"You're gonna stop me?" Tony challenges.

"Put on the suit, let's find out."

"I'm not afraid to hit an old man."

"Put on the suit."

The weird feeling builds up inside of me again as I yell out.

"Stop! Somethings not right," I convert everyone's attention to me.

Bruce looks up from the screen.

"Oh my God," I hear him mutter before my senses take over. I feel it before it happens.
BOOM!

A bomb detonates and I feel the ship rock violently. An explosion erupts in the middle of the room. Steve is thrown into a table and Tony hits the edge of the door. Glass rains down on us from everywhere. I can't see anyone else through the smoke as my body is flung into the corner of a table, the impact sending sparks of pain up my side.

"Put on the suit," Steve orders seriously as we got up. He grabs me by the arm and hauls me to my feet. Tony nods, swallowing.

"Yep."

We run out of the smoke-filled room down the hallway, listening for orders from our earpieces. Everyone is in a frenzy, running back and forth to respond to the attack.

"Hill!" I hear Fury's voice in my ear. I let out a sigh as we continue down the hallway, my leather boots clicking.

"Number 3 engine is down!" Agent Hill's voice follows.

"I guess we're heading to Engine 3," I huff, keeping pace with Steve and Tony.

"Somebody's gotta get outside and patch that engine," Hill's voice is desperate.

"Stark, you copy that?" Fury sounds out of breath.

"I'm on it," Tony promises. I hear something about Coulson as we continue to maneuver our way to the engine. I touch my belt to be positive it's still there. I feel the satisfying cold metal of my lightsaber on the tips of my fingers. Good, I think.

"Engine 3," Tony points down the hallway. "I'll meet you there."

Steve nods and we tear off down the rest of the hallway.

We reach a metal door and Steve yanks it open, ushering the people who are outside in. The wind whips at my hair violently. I'll have to keep my senses on high alert. My adreneline is high, and I a chill is creeping up my back. Our lives are depending on what we are about to do.

"Stark!" Steve yells into his earpiece over the wind. "Stark, we're here!"

"Good, let's see what we've got," I hear his robotic voice say, and I spot his red and gold suit zip over to the engine. He hovers in front of the engine, and I can almost hear the gears in his brain turning on how to assess the situation. He then flies closer and grabs some of the metal to enter the roters.

"One of you needs to get to that engine control panel and tell me which relays are in overload position," I hear Stark order. Steve swings up to the higher level to check and I stay for further instructions.

"What's it look like in there?" Stark asks. I hear Steve sigh over the intercom.

"It seems to be running on some sort of electricity," he concludes.

"Well, your not wrong," I tell him as I begin climbing up to Steve's level.

"Ok, the relays are intact," Steve shouts as I reach the top, panting slightly from the effort of trying not to fall 30,000 feet. "What's our next move?"

"I can't fly through the rotars, and this thing won't re-engage without a jump. I'm going to have to get in there and push," he declares.

"If that thing gets up to speed you'll get shredded!" Steve yells.

"That stater control unit can reverse the polarity long enough to disengage magleve and-"

"Speak English!" Steve exclaims. I sigh in a joking manner.

"I know what you mean, I've got it covered," I reply, heading over to the red lever that, when pulled, will slow the rotars down long enough for Tony to escape.

"Okay, stand by it; wait for my word," Tony order. I stand by the lever and wait for my cue.
