☆Callie's POV☆
"There," Bruce says, patting my arm. "You're done."
I sit on the table in the lab after Bruce drew a few vials of blood and took my vitals. I hate needles. Hated them. I am so relieved it is done.
"Why did Fury even want my blood tested?" I ask Bruce. I hadn't gotten my answers from Fury; maybe I'll have luck with Bruce. He sighs, taking his glasses off.
"What you just did in the training room was incredible. No human has ever been able to be centered and control that weapon with such ease," Bruce points at my belt where I have my lightsaber hilt strapped.
"So Fury thinks I'm an alien," I spit. Only Fury.
"No, of course not," Bruce reassures, walking over and leaning against the table where I sit, my head hanging. I don't feel like an alien. What if I am though?
"Fury thinks that you can control and connect with something called the Force," Bruce chuckles slightly. "I haven't seen you in action, so I can't vouch for that. If we can test your blood, though, we might get some answers."
I laugh, a bit crazily.
"The Force is something from a movie, Bruce. How can it be real?" I deny. Deep down, I feel realization stir in the pit of my stomach. Somehow, I know it is there, and I can use it. Control it. Connect with it.
"That's what I said," Bruce throws up his hands in defeat. "Anything is possible through science, though. We'll find out tomorrow," he says, helping me off the table. I nod.
"Thanks, Bruce," I smile, looking at him. He smiles too.
"Of course. Now, Fury said there was a meeting down on the bridge. I think we should head over there," he says matter-of-factly.
"Before he kicks our butts off this ship," I laugh. I think I have made a new friend.

We arrive at the bridge last. I take a seat next to Steve. He gives me an are-you-okay? face. I put on a smile for him.
"Someone attacked the Tesseract last night," Fury begins. "Level 7." Natasha and I stiffen, since we know the levels best.
The Tesseract is a weapon of mass destruction, and if it gets in the wrong hands...well, bye-bye to planet Earth.
"He's called Loki. He's...not from around here."
"Well, what do you want us to do?" Natasha asks bluntly. I heard that Clint had been comprimised. She doesn't sound or look very happy about that.
"We're scanning every wireless accessible phone on the planet," Phil answers from below the balcony. I let out a sigh of relief. At least Phil isn't comprimised. "He's got nowhere to hide," he adds.
"Be ready when we do get a crossmatch. I'm sending Black Widow, Cap, and Tempest in the plane. Stark, you'll tail them in the skies," Fury hammers off the names. My heart quickens. My first mission!
"Excuse me, but you think that bringing Callie into this is a good idea?" Steve asks Fury. I spin around to face him. He doubts me?!
"I believe she can handle it," Fury speaks to Steve evenly. "I'm quite positive I was not the only one who saw Callie in action," he looks around at everyone, staring them all down with his one good eye. I feel like I have just been put on the spot. I blush slightly.
"Agent Coulsen," Fury adresses Phil, still staring down Steve.
"Sir."
"Show the Captain and Callie where their suits are," Fury orders.
