☆Steve's POV☆

For the rest of the night, we dance to old and new songs- some I recognize, and some, I wonder where we went wrong in the world of music. I taught Callie how to dance the old-fashioned way, slow and fast. I got to dance with Nat, Pepper, and Jane. Callie danced with everyone- Clint, Tony, Bruce Thor, and all the women.

All in all, we have so much fun, I feel like I am going to pass out by the time we crash in our guest rooms. Tomorrow, Callie and I will be leaving and get our starter packs for going undercover. I immediatly feel myself drift off as I think about the future and what it has in store.

Knock! Knock!

"Uh, Steve?" I hear Callie's voice drift through the door.

"What is it," I groan, sitting up.

"Food."

I sigh and get out of bed, throwing on an Under Armour shirt and taming my hair slightly. I follow Callie out of the room and down the hall to the kitchen which overlooks New York.

Since the battle, everything has almost been restored back to its original look. The city looks less like a war zone and more like, well, a city.

I sit myself on a barstool next to Bruce, seeing that Callie and Natasha made pancakes. I don't realize how hungry I am until I took a bite out of them.

Tony and Pepper walk in, and a few whoops echo through the room in celebration of the wedding last night. Pepper smiles and Tony just waves us off, walking over to his couch in the middle of the room.

"I guess this is farewell," Thor's voice rumbles through the doorway. I hadn't even noticed he is still here. Since Jane left last night, I expected him to have as well. I look up at Callie, who is leaning on the counter. She heaves a sigh, her shoulders rising and falling.

"Us too," I decide. Everyone nods, and we say goodbye.

"I wish you all the best," Thor says finally, and with that, he strides out the door, and we feel the building rock slightly as he takes off. Callie hugs everyone and we are out the door.

We grab our duffle bags and descend the building to the lobby, finding our new truck and throwing our bags in the back seat.

"First stop: clothes," Callie clicks her seat belt in. "I actually really want new stuff," she admits to me as we glide down the road. I grin.

"Am I going to be dropping over $100?" I joke around with her. She shifts in her seat.

"Maybe...?" Her voice raises. I pretend to roll my eyes as she protests.

"I'm a teenage girl! Would you rather me be more interested in guys?!"
I breathe in.

"Ahh...no. Stay with clothes," I glance over at her, smiling. She laughs.

"Yeah, well, whatever," she pretends to get upset with me.

"So," I change the subject. "You're starting school in two days," I glance over at her. She let's out a huge sigh.

"Man, my whole life is gonna change," I can see the realization hit her.

"Now remember," I use my best fatherly voice. "No bringing your lightsaber to school, don't use your powers to strangle anyone, don't bring home any guys."

Callie bursts out with laughter. Knowing her, though, she will do her best to keep the Tempest part of her a secret.

"Yeah, alright Spangles," she mocks as we hop out of the car and into the mall.

About 2 hours later, Callie and I walk out of the mall, exhausted and our strong arms laden with shopping bags.

"I can't believe you made me go into those stores," I shake my head, and Callie just sighs.

"I'm so tired," she moans. "You'd think flipping around and slashing things would be more exhausting than this."

"We still have to get home," I point out. She smiles slightly.

"At least I can pass out on the way home," she mocks me. I place everything in, letting Callie unload as well.

"You defenitly won't look like the girl who fought at New York," I lower my voice as we get into the car. "I don't know if that's good or bad," I add.

"I need a change. I've only ever worn S.H.I.E.L.D clothes," she sighs. "Not much to choose from."

"I understand," I give in, knowing from my experience in the military.

"Well, it's time to get back home, you basically have school tomorrow. And we have to go to the gym," I tell her as we pull out of the parking lot.

"I'm hungry," Callie looks at me as I get on the highway.

"I have a feeling I'm going to be hearing that a lot from you," I laugh. She nods, giggling.

"Have you had McDonald's since you've come out of the ice?" She wonders. I make a face.

"What's McDonald's?" I ask, confused. She let's out a low whistle.

"I'm going to have to bring you up to speed," she laughs.

"Hey! I'm not that far behind," I complain.

"Uh, yeah. You are. By, like, 70 years," Callie points out. "Now get off the next exit, let's give you a taste of the modern world."
