You would assume that being apart of a nine person family would mean being forgotten in a sea of siblings, but not in the Weasley household. Each member added something to the family dynamic, and wouldn't be the same without all nine of them occupying The Burrow at different times.
Y/N wasn't the eldest Weasley, nor was she the youngest. In fact, she was the second youngest, fitting cosily in between Ginny and Ron. Ron was her twin brother, (fraternal twin, not identical, she made SURE people knew that) and although they were inseparable when they were younger, the pair had begun to grow apart as they had gotten older. Y/N no longer found practical jokes funny, but rather annoying. She craved real human connection, being able to bond over more than fart noises, but thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Things that weren't often discussed in the Weasley household.
Her brothers Fred and George, who had a keen eye for practical jokes and had long mastered fart noises, would always make fun her matured nature. "Do you want to see my Y/N impression?" Fred would say as he straightened his face before saying "practical jokes are not funny!" in a high pitched voice.
Y/N had learnt to tune her brothers out and ignore them, but sometimes their teasing decided to hang around in the back of her head. She hoped that when she got to Hogwarts she'd make genuine friends who didn't think she was boring and had the same sense of humour as her, a proper sense of humour. The thought of having people around her that she could relate to was enough to keep her comfort throughout the long summer holidays, and she crossed off the days on her calendar each night before bed, counting down the days till she would finally make her Hogwarts debut. Y/N fell asleep each night to thoughts of better days, and dreamt of the scenarios she'd find herself in at Hogwarts, but she never could've imagined the story she was about to be apart of.
