*note: I am awfully sorry this is a bit late, I've had a horrible case of writers block so please bear with me!*

Y/N kept her word to Draco, arriving at the tree by the lake that afternoon, just as he had suggested.
She was met with the sight of him trying to decide the best way to lean against the tree, as if he was trying to determine which stance made him appear cooler.
The Weasley girl chuckled to herself as she made her way towards him, reserving her sarcastic comments for later.
"You wanted to see me, Malfoy?"
Draco, who aimed to have his tree-leaning conundrum sorted out before she arrived, snapped his head in her direction, his eyes slightly widened.
Abandoning his original idea of leaning against the tree, the blonde cleared his throat before walking closer to Y/N.
"Ah yes I believe I did, Weasley" He grinned, trying not to let his nerves take over.
"So what's up then?"
Motioning his head towards the tree, Draco encouraged the girl to sit down with him. Reaching out, he took Y/N's hand in his own and began his proposition.
He felt as though it was now or never.
"Y/N, would you like to come to the Yule Ball with me? I mean, as in, be my date."
As a violent blush rose to her cheeks, Y/N looked down and smiled coyly
"Oh of course I'd like to go with you, Draco" She beamed as she looked back up at the boy sitting in front of her.
"But, that would mean not hiding anymore, are you sure this is what you want? I don't want you to think you have to be open about things just because of the ball, I-"
"Y/N" Draco chuckled as he interrupted her rambling,
"I wouldn't bring it up if I wasn't okay with it. I've been thinking about it a lot- I don't want to have to hide anymore- actually if it's alright with you, I'd like it if we were together, officially."
"You mean as in, be your girlfriend?" Y/N whispered as her eyes widened
"Yes, but only if you're okay with it. We don't have to get all official yet if you're not ready, but I would really like to be able to call you mine. Brag about you to everyone at the ball, you know?" Draco grinned as he let out another chuckle.
"So, what do you say, Weasley? Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Hmmm I don't know..." Y/N spoke sarcastically as she placed her hand on her chin, pretending to think.
"Oh come off it" Draco laughed as he let go of her hand,
"I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding" Y/N squeaked as she took his hand back into her own.
"Yes Draco, I will"
"Pleasure doing business with you, love" The blonde beamed.
He'd not only gained a date for the Yule Ball, but a girlfriend too.
It only took a few days for the meddling twins to find out who their sister was going to the ball with.
They decided to inform Ron by passing him a note as they were sat in the Great Hall one morning.
"Psssst"
Ron looked up from his homework and was greeted by his brother handing him a piece of parchment with eight words scribbled on it;
Y/N is going to the ball with MALFOY.
"She's WHAT?"
"Shhhh!" Fred and George shushed as they looked around, hoping Ron's reaction didn't alert Snape.
"How do you know?" Ron questioned
"Well apparently, Y/N told Ginny, Ginny accidentally let it slip to Parvati Patil, who passed it on to one of her friends, and that friend told some of their friends, who ended up telling the whole Ravenclaw common room, so I overheard a bunch of girls talking about it in the halls."
"Bloody hell. So, what's the plan then? How're we going to stop them?"
Fred and George glanced at each other.
"Well, there is no plan. We're not going to do anything."
"You've got to be joking. You're just going to let them-"
"Ron, It's become clear to us that nothing we do is going to keep them apart" George firmly responded
"That and have you noticed how happy Y/N has been since she's started hanging around him? I think it's time to just let it go." Fred added, backing up the argument.
Ron paused for a moment. It looked as though a million thoughts were rushing through his head.
"You really think it's the right thing to do? Even though it's Malfoy we're talking about?"
"Yes." Fred and George maintained at the same time.
Sighing, Ron agreed that his brothers had made solid points. Y/N was his sister. His twin sister. And here he had been, this whole time, attempting to stand in the way of something that made her happy. Even if that something was Malfoy, he recognised he'd been in the wrong.
"You know, we've been kind of evil when you think about it." Ron's face dropped as he looked up at his brothers
"Yes, you have."
The three Weasley's turned to the source of the new voice that entered the conversion, Harry.
"Was waiting for you to realise it on your own, didn't want to overstep in your family business or anything."
Ron patted his best friend on the shoulder as he responded,
"You basically are apart of our family, Harry"
