Y/N had hoped her parents wouldn't find out about her getting detention, but Molly Weasley had a sixth sense when it came to her children. Somehow, she always found out about their misdemeanours.
"You know better than to let your sister hang around a Malfoy!" She scolded.
"It was detention Mum!" Ron protested
"She HAD to go! what were we going to do?"
"Yeah Mum, you haven't seen McGonagall when she's angry. Even I wouldn't want to cross that." George said as he shuddered at the thought.
"If you don't keep an eye out for her, next time she might not even come back alive!" Molly snapped, not trusting the Malfoy boy in the slightest.
"Now come on, we need to quickly have breakfast. We're going into Diagon Alley this morning and you know how crowded that place gets."
As the Weasley siblings gathered around the small dining table to eat, their father walked through the door, arriving home from work. Working at the Ministry of Magic was no easy job, and Y/N often pitied Arthur for having to work such long hours. As he began to explain the latest issue he was dealing with at work, she made a mental note to never get a job at the Ministry.
"So, what's new around here?" Arthur beamed as he finally sat down to eat.
"Well, your daughter had detention with Draco Malfoy" Molly shared, knowing her husband would have the same opinion as her about the Malfoys.
Instead of immediately scolding Y/N however, Arthur turned to the girl with an interested expression on his face.
"Got any gossip on his father?" He whispered as the whole table chuckled and Molly lightly whacked him on the shoulder.
Turning around to see the scolding look his wife was giving him, he cleared his throat and turned back to Y/N.
"I mean, you must be very careful Y/N. Those Malfoys are trouble. Wouldn't put it past them to put Draco up to something."
"Yes, please don't go running off with a Malfoy" Molly remarked as Fred and George began laughing and immediately making fun of their younger sister.
"Ugh YUCK." Y/N scoffed. As if she would want to end up with Draco. Sure, he had gone to get her help when she injured herself in detention, and sure, he visited her in the hospital wing afterwards, but he's still a bad guy. Right? Yes. Most likely. Possibly.
Y/N was pulled out of her conflicting thoughts as her Mum announced they'd be leaving in 5 minutes, via floo powder.
She would have to leave her internal self-argument about Draco till later, hoping the wonders of Diagon Alley would take her mind off the blonde boy.
As her family members took turns hopping into the fireplace, Y/N wondered what Malfoy was currently doing. Unbeknownst to her, she would soon find out.
