THIS IS US

Part 2

" Um what?" I questioned . Liam and Niall both heard what Simon said and looked at me .

" I am guessing he hasn't told you yet ." Niall says with his hands in his pockets . I looked up at him in question.

" Told me what ?" I asked . Liam sighed next to me , 

"Typical Simon move ." He said and I was more confused , but before I could say anything , Lauren called us inside and Eric ran towards kitchen shouting food . They gave me a look and we continued moving . 

Once everyone was settled on the dinning table , with our foods in our plate . I was sitting between Niall and Liam this time . The table was silent for a while and I thinking if I should bring it up now or later but then I thought fuck it ,let's just ask . 

" So Simon , what were you talking about before ?" I asked as I took a small bite of the Veg Lasagna from my plate . 

Simon nodded and smirked before taking a sip of his white wine . 

"Right , we know that One Direction the band is on a break and it been more than 5 years of Hiatus , I was thinking of bringing the band back together. All the members of the band has agreed to the reunion ." He paused and I smiled widely and looked at both of them .

" This is amazing . Congratulations  , you guys do know that you are breaking the internet ." I exclaimed . They chuckled and nodded , 

" Yeah , we are very excited to come back ." Liam said .

" That's great , now let me continue  and tell you how you are involved in this process . I have known you for quite a long time and I also know that you are going to take a break from your job for a while and I needed assistance in making this reunion a huge success . I need your help in this , so  you will be working as an assistant manager to One Direction." He completed. 

I was confused ,

1. This does not come under my profession 

2. An Assistant manager would be required for a long time and my 'break' like he is putting it is not very long . I myself don't know the duration of it . 

3. I don't even know if I can do it . 

I took a deep breath and then said , 

"Look Simon , honestly I am happy that you think this is something I am capable of doing . I am in a completely different profession and the 'break' that you are talking about is not even that long . I am not the person for this , Simon . " Everyone was quiet , other than Eric who was busy playing with his toy and having dinner.

" I knew you were going to say that . I know it's completely different profession but that's why you are taking a break right , to do something different for a while so take your mind off things. I needed an assistant to help with reunion plan and this requires a way to reach the fans which  I know these boys have been doing through music but the other things it's upto us . Th approximate time this would take is one month and a half . You have a way to reach people and I need just that personality . " He replied . I thought for a minute before saying anything else .

" I understand but you also need someone with more experience in this kind of a thing. I am not experienced , plus I don't think you guys would want someone more experienced and knows this industry also well right ?" I looked at Niall and Liam who were both looking at me intently . 

" I don't experience here love , I need someone who is creative and approachable and most importantly someone who can connect well with the boys , which I know you will be able to do." Simon said .

"Plus , we have a huge crew and the way Simon had described you to us before we just need a person like you in our team . I am not usually in on Simon's plans but I think he is right on this ." Niall added , resulting in Simon rolling his eyes .
