Part 19

"'Ello boys, long time eh?" We see James Corden walking in from the door of his office. He had an excited smile on his face. He was in a formal suit with a red tie. 

"James, my man," Liam exclaims opening his arms to pull James into a hug.

"Liam, my boy." James goes along and hugs Liam back. They pull away and James greets the others and then turns to me.

"You must be Katherine, we spoke on the phone." James greets me with a handshake.

"Yup, that's me. It's so nice to meet you." I say.

"Likewise."He replied with a soft smile before turning to the boys.

"So, it's finally happening?" He asked and the boys nod.

"So let's have a seat and conversation this conversation," James suggests and we proceed towards the table and take our seats.

"So first tell me about, how have you been?" James asks the boys.

"Great, excited," Niall replied taking a sip of his coffee. They talked for some more time, catching up with each other. James was like an uncle figure in their life, who loved them and supported them with everything.

James looked so proud when he was talking to them, it was so sweet. You could see how much the boys looked up to him and considered him as their family.

"I am sorry Katherine, I got carried away." James apologises.

I give him a reassuring smile," It's alright, I understand." 

"So, let's get started?" James announces and we nod. This time it was just James and I talking exchanging our ideas. The boys would cut in once in a while with their non-funny jokes. James and I would roll our eyes at Harry's failed attempt to crack jokes and Niall laughing at everything that was going on in the room. Louis and Liam would have this expression of 'given up on these two.'

"So, the final plan is that Harry will be driving the car and will spot Liam on the side of the street, then comes Niall who will be picked up from Liam's suggestion and Louis will join you lads from Starbucks holding all your drinks, after this, I will appear on the middle of the road looking angry. Then we will carry on." James sums it up and the boys nod.

"Perfect, I will send you the script by today evening, you have the photo shoot for the appearance on the Late Late show after the Carpool Karaoke right?"James asked and I nodded in response.

"Okay great, will see you there." He said standing up from his seat and we follow.

"It was great meeting you Katherine, I can tell the boys are in good hands," James said pulling me into a side hug.

"We are not kids mate." Louis states.

"I know but I can see why Simon chose her." He answers looking at Louis and I cleared my throat.

"I am right here," I say and James lets out a laugh.

"It's a good thing." He said and I shook my head not bothered to say anything.

"Anyway, we will see you in another 3 hours?" I asked and changed the topic.

"Yup, looking forward to it." He replied and nodded at the body before leaving. We decided to get some food and I let the boys lead the way since they know LA way better than me. I was thinking of giving Rachel a call but thought against, I didn't want to disturb them. I was on my phone, responding to emails from the crew about the tour dates and interviews lined up.

"Cheeseburger Kat?" Niall asked from the front seat. We were in the car, driving to Niall's house again, planning to order in the food because of the risk of being spotted, they didn't want that to be their first appearance through the paparazzi pictures.
