THIS IS US

Part 5

" How are you ?" Jonathan asks leaning against the couch and crossing his legs . 

" I am good . How are you ?" I ask with a smile. 

"Good ." I nod . 

"Well , remember our conversation last week ?" I asked again, both of us remembering the phone call.

"Katherine , did you think about what I said ?" Jonathan spoke as soon as he picked up the call . I sighed  .

"Yeah I did , but Jo I just feel like I should ... I don't know , because you know.. I -" He cuts me off .

"Listen darling , I told you that sometimes taking a break is not selfish , it means you are still thinking about the others and in this case your clients . It doesn't mean that you are giving up , honey you are the last person I would expect to give up on something. You don't do that . Remember , we were working on a case and we were conflicted about making a certain decision and you told me something about if you are going to overthink , you are never going to take a step further , take a risk and you will learn a lot through that . Now darling take your own advice." He said and that's when I made a decision, I told him that I am going to follow his suggestion and he was the happiest and  told me that he was excited to hear about what I would do . 

" Hmmm did you decide , what you are going to do ?" He asked tilting his head slightly .

" Um yeah , I am going to be working with Simon for a while on something ." I said and a wide smile spread on his face with a proud look  . 

"That's great . Am I going to see you on TV?" He asked teasingly .

"No ." I rolled my eyes , making him chuckle . We started talking about who is going to be taking care of the things here and I told him that I will still be working on the files from what Stacey sends me .  

"Everything sounds great , darling. I wish you luck and hope you make the best out of it , but I know you will . " Jonathan stood up and buttoned up his suit . I smile and stand up as well , walking over to him and pulling him in for a hug . 

"Thanks Jo , you are amazing. " I said , standing on my tip toes and placing a soft kiss on his cheek . 

" I know darling , that's why my wife loves me so much ." He winks and I chuckle . 

"Alright I have to go . Take care of yourself and keep me updated ." 

"I will and you do too . Send Rose my love , I miss her ." I said and he nodded before leaving . 

I sighed and lied down on couch with a huge smile , suddenly very excited for this break . God , I can't wait for the trip and working with One Direction. I squealed and started moving my hands and legs in some kind of happy dance. 

After I calmed myself down , I packed everything else and looked at my office for a moment , taking everything in for a moment . God I love this place but I kind of need some time away from this place. 

I walked out of the office with one last look around and closed the door behind me . 

" I will miss you boss and your flowers ." Stacey says as I turn around .

"I am going forever , I will be back in no time . But call me anytime you need help with anything , I will be right there." I said with an assuring smile . 

"I know . I love you boss ." Stacey smiles and pulls me in a hug 

" I love you too Stace ." I said into her shoulder. We pulled apart ,
