"Go, get up," I felt a light punch to my arm and a soft yet grumpy morning voice coming from beside me. I twist and turn under the heavy sheets, not wanting to leave the warmth. I felt another nudge in my back. Groaning, I fling the covers off my body and the cold air of the house hits me. I shiver and scamper across the carpet into the bathroom. I hear Pete get out of bed and leave the room, hopefully he'll do it right today.

I washed and dressed quickly, doing my make-up in a record amount of time before running down the hall to wake Bronx. As I enter his bedroom, his tiny mop of curls were resting slowly. I bent down and whispered his name, shaking him slightly. He came round after two minutes and I laid out his school clothes whilst he brushed his teeth.

I made my way down the staircase and into the kitchen. Pete was making Bronx's lunch. It was silent. I frowned, worried.

"You have fed him, haven't you?" I say, poring the milk over the bowl of cereal for Bronx.

"Of course, he's sleeping in the lounge," Pete replies calmly. I nod and brush past Bronx into the lounge.

Smiling to myself, I tiptoe over to the cradle. His tiny chest was rising and falling, eyes squeezed tightly shut and fists curled together. He had such dark hair, like both his parents. Although Pete's was blonde now.

I bend down and gently scoop him into my arms. Kissing his temple, I carry him upstairs and slip on his jacket. He begins to stir and I hear pouring footsteps as Pete barges in.

"What's wrong, is he okay?" Pete worries, towering over my shoulder. I nod and continue to dress him. I pack his things into a bag and give it to Pete, taking him back into my arms.

"Dad! Where's my book bag?" Bronx calls up the stairs. Pete answers, getting flustered. I chuckle to myself and one-handedly slip on my heels. Pete threw Bronx's bag at him and put in his own shoes.

It was a rush and panic in a morning to get everything ready now. It took double the amount of time, especially with me working again. I was determined to not have much time off this time, since it was a new job. I was hired as a fashion model for an LA magazine and I wanted to make a good impression, dedicating myself full time...then I fell pregnant. It was a wonderful surprise and everyone was so happy, accept my boss. He eventually warmed up to the idea, but now I really needed to prove myself.

"Come on we gotta go!" Pete clapped his hands and unlocked the front door, ushering the household out into the morning air.

He kissed me hard, his hands set on my waist. I smiled and pulled back, not wanting to be late. He gently kissed his son's head before wishing me a good day and running to his car with Bronx. I say goodbye to Bronx and make sure the new family member is securely fastened in in the back seat. Both cars reverse off the driveway at the same time. We wave as we drive away in the other direction.

This was life now. Family life. Myself, Pete, Bronx...and one month old Bodhi Lewis Wentz.
