Another week had passed and to my surprise, If actually been out the house to do more than shop. I'd spent two days with Lucy and the twins, the majority of the time we were having lunch or out shopping for un-necessary things for the house that Joe couldn't object to.The other day I met up with Kayla and Thea. We went to the park together and then went for ice cream. Gabrielle and Declan joined us too which was nice.
I'd had a couple more phone calls with Bronx and he was much happier now. He was used to Pete not being there and he told me he's still keeping his diary but he hasn't printed any photos out yet. I told him it was okay and Pete was going to love it anyway.
I face timed Pete every night and he usually called me at some point in the daytime too. It was hard for me to even hear his voice let alone see his face, but it relaxes me so much when he would just talk to me for hours in the evening, telling me about his day and how awesome the tour was going. I missed him so much, but I knew he'd be back soon and everything would be back to normal.

"Be good for grandma and grandpa won't you Bodhi," I kissed Bodhi's head and handed him over to Pete's mom who took him graciously.
"Thank you again for doing this tonight," I smile at her and she just nods.
"It's no problem, he's always welcome here! Now you go and have some fun."
I thanked her one more time before saying goodbye to her and Bodhi. Gabe asked me if I wanted to go see and movie that evening since I hadn't been on a single child-free night since Bodhi was born. All my time was taken up by looking after him or driving him to the doctors for a check up appointment. I didn't mind or anything, it was just that I had no free time at all, ever.
I drove home and the first thing I did was jump into the shower. I had just under an hour to get ready since Pete's mom likes to talk a lot.
I dry and straighten my hair, dressing in denim shorts and a black cropped top. I decided to tie a checkered shirt around my waist and slip on my heeled boots. I finished my make-up before taking my phone off charge and going downstairs.
I had a quick phone call with Pete whilst I was waiting.
"Hey!" I could almost hear the smile in his voice.
"Hey Pete, how's stuff?"
"It's great, tours great. And you? Bodhi?"
"We're both good, we miss you lots though,"
"Well I miss you both too, is he there?"
"No, he at your moms actually, sorry,"
"Oh that's cool, where are you going? Night out with the girls?" He guessed. I heard something smash in the background and Pete laughed loudly, making the phone crackle in my ear.
"Nope, Gabe offered to take me to a movie since I'm back at work tomorrow. And I haven't had a kid-free night since Bodhi was born,"
"Oh..." Pete sounded disappointed.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, no. Just have fun yeah? I love you,"
"I love you too," I said.
I felt confused as I ended the call. Pete seemed off about the fact that I was going out with Gabe. I didn't feel bad though, just a little confused still.
I waited for a few more minutes until Gabe rang the doorbell. I quickly unlocked the door and greeted Gabe with a big smile.
"Hey! You look great!" He grinned at me and gave me a hug.
"Thanks, you do too!" I reply. We head out to his car.
We drive to the cinema and no surprise, Gabe asks about Bodhi. I told Gabe that he was fine with Pete's mom and Gabe said he could've come with us.
"He's a baby, Gabe, are you crazy?" I laugh, lightly punching his arm that was clutching the steering wheel.
"A little," He smirked and continued to drive.
We pulled up the the cinema carpark and even though it was eight PM, the sun was still shining since it was Summer. We walked together towards the cinema. Gabe bought us both tickets to a movie which neither of us knew what it was, and I bought some snacks for us since he was buying dinner after the film.
We walked into the theatre which was pitch black. I used the light on my phone to read the seat numbers on our tickets. We continued to make our way up the steps until Gabe tripped and fell flat on his face halfway up. I couldn't help but burst out laughing as the entire cinema stared at us, holding in their giggles. I helped Gabe up, still whilst laughing, and we eventually found our seats before the movie started.
"Well that was embarrassing," Gabe whispered to me quietly, a small chuckled escaped his lips.
"Yeah," I whispered back, leaning into his ear, "It's a good job your not famous or anything,".
