I woke up to the house phone ringing loudly from downstairs. Jumping to my feet, I grabbed a t-shirt, pulled it over my head and raced to the phone just before it stopped ringing.
"Hello?" I said, panting slightly.
"Hi Ellianah, are you okay? You sound a little out of breath?"
"Oh hey Ashlee, I'm fine, I just ran to get the phone that's all," we both laughed, "What can I do for you?"
"Well since the tour ends today and the band will be home tomorrow, Bronx was wondering now if he could stay at your house tonight? You know, to get all excited for his Dad coming home and everything. Oh, and he missed you and Bodhi so much."
"Oh, yeah sure. I have a couple things to do today but I could pick him up on my way home, is that okay?"
"Yeah that's great, I'll go tell him now. See you tonight."
"Bye Ashlee."
The call ended and that's when the realisation hit me. That's when I finally comprehended that Pete was coming home. Finally, after two whole months, I was going to see him again. It feels love forever but I'm just so excited, and I know Bronx is too.
The first thing I did was quickly change Bronx's bed covers so he'd have clean, fresh ones for his first night back here. I tidied up his room and straightened everything else up around the house. I didn't bother washing the dishes sine there would be much more after today.
After everything was nice and clean, I was startled by Bodhi's crying from his room. Quickly walking towards it, I pushed open his door and scooped him up into my arms. Rocking him back and forth, he eventually retreated his sound to a faint, childish mumble that made me giggle. Just over four months old, he was already looking so much different to when he was first born.
Carrying him on my hip, I walked downstairs and sat Bodhi in his chair before making breakfast. I quickly ate some toast and a fruit salad before blending some apple for Bodhi. His favourite thing in the entire world was Apple purée. I was convinced that he'd grow up eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner forever.
Kneeling down on the floor, I spoon fed Bodhi his breakfast. Trying to think about all the things I needed to do today, I made a mental list. First, I needed to drop Bodhi off at nursery so I could meet Gabrielle, hands free of a baby. Then I was going for lunch with Gabrielle, followed by a huge weekly shop before finally picking up Bodhi and then Bronx.
I just had to get through today, then Pete would be back home.

"Sorry I'm late," I grinned, hugging Gabrielle tightly and taking a seat opposite her, "The people at the nursery made me fill out like ten forms." I rolled my eyes and she laughed.
"It's fine, I didn't get here long ago." she smiled.
Scanning over the menu, Gabrielle and I ordered a pasta salad and two coffees. We sat and spoke for a while. It turned out to be quite a hefty conversation since I'd only seen the girls at the start of the tour and since then, I'd only seen Gabe, Brendon and Sarah. Apart from I haven't seen Gabe in around a week, which was odd since we spent a lot of time together. I called him a couple of times but he said he was busy, I couldn't compete with that so I didn't bother calling again.
"So, the guys are home tomorrow!" Gabrielle squealed and held my hand. My smile grew wide and it was evident how excited we both were for them to get back to us. Usually, we'd see them at at least one your date but this time we didn't.
"I know! I'm so excited, it feels like they've been gone forever!" I giggled.
"Totally, so are we all meeting at the airport or what?"
