Three days had passed. I had spoken over the phone with Pete twice so far and hearing his voice made the lack of his presence one thousand times worse. I missed his laugh, his smile, his jokes, his hair, his scent...I just missed him. I missed him so much it hurt. And coping with Bodhi wasn't getting any easier. Despite him going down easier, he would wake up at strange hours for feeding. It was always around two AM which was odd. I spent one day with Lucy and the twins, but other than that, I had done nothing apart from make the supermarket run a couple of times for supplies. It just wasn't the same, and I think Bodhi knew that something was missing too. His cries were much more agonising and longer now, it upset me but I knew it was the same feelings I possessed.

The doorbell rang and I quickly rose to my feet from the leather sofa. I marched to the hallway and unlocked the door swiftly. I opened it to see Gabe.

"Gabe! Hey, come inside!" I grin, stepping to the side to allow Gabe to enter.

Gabe was Bodhi's godfather. Pete chose him along with Patrick and Gabrielle, whilst I chose Brendon, Sarah, Andy and Kayla. They were my closest friends. I had never met Gabe until Pete introduced us during my pregnancy. He was such a cool guy and we bonded almost instantly. We hung out a lot and I went to tons of gigs too. He came to see me after Bodhi was born but we hadn't been in touch since as Cobra went on tour.

"How are you? You look great by the way!" Gabe smiled, hugging me before looking me up and down.

"Thank you! I'm great, and yourself? Let me get you a drink," I said and walked through into the kitchen.

Bodhi was in his chair, playing with the dangling soft shapes above his head. I smiled as his tiny fingers twisted and twirled each individual plush toy. I loved him more than anything, ever.

I began to pour some ice tea for Gabe and I as he entered the kitchen a couple of steps behind me. Almost immediately he sat himself down on the tiles and stated talking to Bodhi. He flicked the shapes, making Bodhi giggle. Tickling Bodhi's chest, his tiny lips curved into a toothless smile that ruled my heart.

"Thanks," Gabe smiled, taking the drink from my fingers, "Little man got big!" He laughed.

"He sure did! Let's go into the lounge," I cocked my head towards the door and took Gabe's drink from him. He seized the opportunity quickly, gently scooping Bodhi up into his arms with a huge smile on his face.

We sat down on the sofa and I turned on some TV. Gabe paid way more attention to Bodhi than myself, but I was fine with that. It was pretty cute actually. Gabe more or less worshiped Bodhi, he loved it. When he first saw me after I gave birth, (which was very painful to say the least), he went straight to Bodhi, not saying a word to Pete or I. He adored my son and I loved seeing how happy he made Bodhi. It was almost an instantaneous smile that appeared on both their faces when they were together.

"You have any plans for today?" Gabe asked, still continuing to play with Bodhi.

"Nope," I answered, shrugging.

"We could go to the park? It's nice out," Gabe suggested, pointing out of the window. He was right. The sky was clear blue and cloudless and the sun was shining bright through the glass. It was a perfect summers day.

"Sure, let me go grab some shoes," I said and stood up.

"Hey, hey..." Gabe stood up, holding Bodhi out at arms length whilst he squirmed. I turned around, "He needs a change,".

I laughed out loud while Gabe pulled a repulsed face, "Oh no. You can't just keep him until he drops one! There's changing supplies in the bathroom, Gabe," I smirk and run off up the stairs.
