Shoyo woke up slowly; the sun had filtered through the cracks in the blinds and filled the room.

He felt safe, and oddly warm, but he didn't think anything of it until he heard a soft hum and felt something tighten around his waist.

His eyes shot open to be met with freckles, a few mere centimeters in front of his face.

He felt his cheeks and ears heat up with lightning speed, and he stopped breathing.

He looked down, slightly panicked, at the arm wrapped around his waist. He didn't expect to see two arms, especially both pointing opposite directions.

He followed the paler arm, turning his head, to see a peacefully sleeping Tsukishima, a soft smile on his face.

Shoyo laid there, frozen, trying to figure out if this was a blessing or a curse.

His cheeks felt as if they were on fire, and he squeaked a little before burrowing himself farther into the blanket that threatened to swallow his entire being.

Tsukishima felt some movement and heard a noise, causing him to wake up earlier than he liked on Saturday mornings.

He rolled, reaching for his glasses, and stuffed them hastily on his face before turning back around to see a wide-eyed Shoyo and a still-sleeping Yamaguchi.

He smiled a little at the little bit of drool at the corner of Yama's mouth before chuckling at the quivering Shoyo.

He wrapped his arm back around the ginger and pulled him into his chest, trying to calm him. It halfway worked, the sound of Tsukishima's heartbeat soothed the ginger but also made his blush all the more vibrant.

It was only around 9:00, but Tsukishima had the idea of making breakfast for the other two. He knew Yama woke up grumpy sometimes, and that Sho was a bad cook when it came to breakfast foods as the ginger had frequently complained of hunger around him before lunch.

He rolled out of the bed gently, trying not to disturb a still-snoring Yams. He started to leave the room, still in his pajamas, when he felt the short ginger boy grab his hand.

He wasn't expecting the contact, a faint pink painting his cheekbones. He led the shorter boy out of the room before making his way downstairs and into the kitchen.

Shoyo promptly jumped onto the counter, something he did most of the time when Noya cooked. This time, though, it made him almost eye-level with Tsukki, if not a little taller, and the thoughts racing through his mind brought another instantaneous blush to his cheeks.

Tsukishima explained that he was going to be making breakfast, avoiding the conversation surrounding their sleep positions last night.

Shoyo was in a short-sleeve T-shirt, something he only wore to sleep and when he and Noya were alone in the house, as he was embarrassed of his scars and recent wounds.

And so when Tsukishima gently unwrapped the bandages from Shoyo's arms, citing that they needed to dry properly to heal, Shoyo couldn't tell if his blush was one of embarrassment from being so close to the blond who held him tight last night or from the shame of that very blond seeing him in such a pathetic state.

While Tsukishima was making their breakfast, Shoyo's phone rang. He immediately picked it up, having saved the police officer's contact from before.

"Hai... hai. Arigato. Arigato."

Tsuki watched with a raised eyebrow, trying to pay attention to both the tamagoyaki in front of him and the ginger to his right.

Shoyo hung up the phone, expressionless, seemingly frozen solid.
