4 whole months since i had seen, touch, or smelt her,i needed her touch assuring me everything is going to be okay, i needed her scent as an assurance towards me, had i not feel her emotions i would had given up and assume she was dead, completing the mating was the worst yet best thing that had she done, i would be a miserable wolf all my life not that am not now but i stay at night hoping tomorrow is a lucky day but yet again i keep getting unlucky, everyday for the past four months i keep experience her emotions yet can't do anything , her pain would remind me from time to time that she was out there suffering and in pain that i failed to protect.

"We found a lead on the east side of our borders, seems like we've been played well"Martin said i sprang right on my feet in minutes standing right where he occupied the space.

"Where ,is she okay" i asked bombaring him with questions on his face, he buried his hands on his pockets his signature look.

"We haven't checked the place out i was waiting for your go ahead" he said i grabbed the keys on the table signaling him and Aaron to follow me , my heart was thundering against my chest at the moment wondering if she was okay, my hands were shaking unable to be still, Aaron was driving behind me with the 4 warriors.

The closer we had gotten the more anxiously Jas was and the loud wimpers my ears detected, being an Alpha taught me ways of someone's thinking and i knew the man would always have his guard up. I mean that made sense right.

"Stay in your wolf form" i informed Martin through the mindlink, he led the way in , the smell of different chemicals made me gag, my eyes scanned around and the pictures displayed on the wall was a white wolf her eyes were purple, a brown with a tint of purple and a black wolf its size assured me that was a Alpha wolf, somehow i was drawn to the white wolf , it's said it is rare one is born in thousand years , an Amethyst wolf if i remember correctly it's rare for a Amethyst wolf to be born as a single 1 in 1000 is born they always born as pairs (twins) i didn't understand the strong connection i had towards it but it was strong.

"I feel her scent this way" Martin snapped me out of my thoughts walking to the hallway, i followed with Aaron besides me the 4 warriors securing the place.

"Where is she" i asked coming face to face with the old men, his eyes widen as he fell back and crawl away from me us, i couldn't even stop martin as i saw the man falling down backwards, i felt his wrist checking the pulse before dropping my shoulders he was dead , my eyes raised up and i came across with my mate on the floor, and Jas howled in pain , i wanted to protect her,take her pain or let me say Jas wanted to.

"Wolf bane" Someone said as i flinched in pain from the burning i came across the huge man ,Dante if i recall correctly, he chuckled shaking his head ,he was the only immortal wolf the moon goddess created.

"What's the plan "asked Aaron as my feet started bouring holes on the floor i had no plan, i didn't know what to do at this moment but i knew i had to get her out my eyes scanned her yet again before falling on her huge belly i widen my eyes.

"Lizzy" i said questioning yet confused what was going on, i crounched down yet again swallowing the pride.

"We need help from a non wolf"i said asking for help wasn't in a Alpha nature, i was too proudful to do just that. "An hour Aaron" i said listening to the burning pain on me , i close my eyes as he nodded and left.

Not even a minute late Aaron returned, i had the urge to even snatch the key and unlock as her legs shock making her drop the key a couple of times

"Seriously"my impatience was running thin she looked at me thinning her eyes warningly but that didn't intimidate me, probably because i knew i could kill her in a snap she was a mermaid after all the only defense form she had was being able to turn into full human when out of water and the fact her singing could put someone on her spell.

"As i mentioned before to your friend this is the first time on my feet so am not really perfect " she said before i sprang on my feet as she opened the door, she was curled on the floor  my hands wrapped around her frail weak body.

"Save our pup Josh please " she said blinking a couple of times i held her tightly wanting to take the pain away, our pup her words rang on my mind i should had searched harder , she was pregnant the whole time without my knowledge.

"Why do you smell different had you been with someone "those words i last said to her rang on my mind  i should have known she didn't have access to the outside world so she wouldn't.

"Call the pack doctor , i said scopping her now unconscious body ,into my arms her huge belly popping out.

I had now abondon the previous position i was in but standing right besides the door, i was 5 minutes away from barging in and demanding answers when the doctor got out she smiled at me.

"We manage to stabilize the mother and the pup has never been healthy" she said with a smile i closed my eyes as martin squeezed my shoulder. "It's a boy" she added my chest tighten immediately, i was never ready to be a father not now atleast, i never imagine myself as a father and now, now the baby was here i had to swallow the fear and step up.

"Can i see him" i asked purposely avoiding my mate, the pain i felt and the fear of losing her made me realise how attached to her i was i needed the mate bond to weaken and quick avoiding her would be best, i didn't want to be back to that weak person i had became for 4 months  abondoning my duties and focusing on finding her , the whole reason in the first place i didn't want a mate , i didn't want to be miserable for the rest of my life like my father.

"Yes I'll tell the nurse to show you the future Alpha" she said giving me a warm smile, had i not bare a mate mark i would find her interesting and maybe leading to bedding her but that was different now every female was the same towards me, she walked away after that.

"The elders want to see you" Martin said i nodded, it feels like everything is happening right after the other.
