"You seriously invited him too?" Beth's excited voice asked, as I plopped down on her bunk. I covered my red face with my hands.

"Yes," I groaned before sitting up and looking at her anxiously. "Beth, what am I going to do? He hates me! What was I thinking? God, I'm so stupid! Kill me now!"

Beth grabbed my wrists and gave me a big smile. "Chill. That's what you need to do." She released me once I calmed down a little. I placed my hands in my lap. "This is the perfect chance for the two of you to make amends."

"What am I supposed to do, Beth?" I stood and started pacing. "Walk up to him and say, 'hey, I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it. I was just trying to protect my broken heart from you. Oh, and by the way, I have massive feelings for you that I don't even know how to handle.' Beth, I'm doomed!"

"You really are." Alexander's voice came from outside Beth's cell. I stormed over to the privacy blanket and ripped it to the side to see him leaning against the wall, Olivia next to him. She slapped his arm. "You know you rant loudly, right? Might as well call him into the cell block so he can hear it now."

My eyes burned as my frustration turned into fear. I walked back over and sat on Beth's bunk, placing my face in my hands.

"Emily, it'll be okay. I may not know exactly what happened between the two of you, but I've noticed how he looks at you." Olivia reassured, taking a seat on the floor in front of me.

I looked up at her confused as a tear slid down my cheek. "What are you talking about?" I asked.

She smiled at me. "Isn't it obvious? His eyes follow you when you enter a room. He's constantly watching you when you're not looking. Geez, when we first got here I thought you two were together because of how he acted." She laughed.

My eyes widened as Beth and Alex joined in on her laughter. I lightly hit Beth on the arm. "Stop it. Is she telling the truth?" I questioned the blonde I'd known for so long.

Beth gave me a smile and just shrugged her shoulders before looking away from me.

"Beth, what do you know?" I asked, annoyed that she knew something I didn't.

She turned back to me with serious look on her face. "Look, I'm swore to secrecy for him just as I am to you. If you really want to know what we are talking about then you need to talk to him tonight. It's time that this little thing that's not happening between the two of you be put to an end. Everyone misses the dynamic duo, the partners in crime. It just isn't right for the two of you to not be by each other's sides."

"Fine." I huffed. I wanted us to be like we were before, but I was scared of getting hurt again. "I'll do it."

"Whoo! That's what I'm talking about!" Alexander hollered before stepping over Olivia and throwing me over his shoulder.

"No! No! No! Put me down, you bafoon!" I yelled at him in protest. He carried me out into the break area where a few people were. He hopped with each step causing his shoulder to dig into my abdomen. I started hitting his back trying to get him to put me down. "Alex! Put! Me! Down!"
