-Abby's POV

*Beeeeeeep Beeeeeeep*

"Hello?" I answered my annoying phone without removing my eyes from my open maths book.

"Abby, I need your help.. Now!" Jenny's urgent voice cried.

"What happened?"

"Max has got flu so-"

"Max who?" I asked, still concentrating on the word problems in my book. I seriously think that this math thing is a drama queen.. it's got way too many damn problems!

"The delivery boy! Abby, are you listening to me?"

"Yeah yeah.. So you got a new delivery guy, huh?" I muttered distractedly.

"Arrgggh.. Abby, please listen to me! It's important!"

"Okay okay.. go ahead," I sighed, giving up on my book.

"You remember the order for Britney's party?"

"Of course." I stopped counting the number of times I've tried calling Joey to clarify this whole thing. He's still unreachable.

"So, I've to make the delivery within one hour and the delivery boy just ditched me!" She was really freaking out.

"Jeez.. take a chill pill! Don't you have a substitute or something like that?"

"Yeah but he's saying that it's on a too short notice. I'm supposed to inform him one day before and not one hour before. Now, he's busy."

"You really should've told him earlier," I remarked.

"Max just cancelled minutes ago! How was I supposed to know that he would've got flu?"

"Okay sorry! So, what are you going to do?"

"I.. I was thinking of making the delivery myself."

"Jenny, you don't have to go there alone. Just make a call and tell them that you can't deliver."

"Actually.. I wasn't planning on going there alone.."  The fact of her words hit me a few moments later.

"Oh no! Don't count on that!" I dismissed firmly.

"Come on Abby! Ellie's deli can't afford to lose such a huge order right now. And you know Britney.. she'll make my life hell for ruining her party. I can't show up there alone... pleeeeeasssse?" she begged.

"Jen.. You.. Why don't you take Rick along?" I suggested.

"He's got football practice. Please Abby? I'll do anything for you! Please! Please! Ple-"

"Okay, fine! See you in 15 min," I agreed reluctantly and hung up before I change my mind.

I never imagined that I would be spending my Saturday at a party. Maybe Jenny and I were meant to go there afterall.. Crap! I'm believing in all these destiny stuff now. Damn those stupid influencing movies! Well, now that we're going, it might as well prove to be beneficial for Nate and Jenny. Where the hell are you Joey fucking Mcwell?

"So this is a pool party?" I asked incredibly,  eyeing a girl walking around shamelessly in a strapless bikini. Dude, you forgot your way to the striptease club or what? Naturally, eveybody else was similarly dressed. You are bound to feel slightly overdressed among this crowd. I wonder if they'll even keep these pieces of cloth wrapped around them till the end of the party...
