"Do you know what the saying 'He Who Is The Cause of Another Greatness is Himself Undone' means?"

::

"Ella!"

"Lee!" She grinned at the boy, who rushed to the entrance of the hall after her and Cedric.

"It is a lovely sight this morning, my favorite Slytyerbitch," he bowed lightly, and she laughed.

"Shut up Grffindork," she said simply. "Lee, you know Ced, right?"

"Mhm," Lee stuck a hand in his pocket. "Seeker for Hufflepuff."

"Yeah," Cedric cleared his throat, and started walking towards the table, the sausages practically calling his name. "You're the commenter. I like your... commentary. Especially in matches with Slytherin."

Lee grinned, "well, I am very talented."

"That you are," Cedric nodded. "But trust me, I would love to keep chatting, but-"

"Breakfast is calling," Ella grinned. "I'll see you later," she was about to hop off towards the Slytherin table when Cedric caught her arm lightly. Lee already walked off, squeezing between two boys with a loud call ("Seamus! Dean! How are you two love-birds?").

"You okay sitting alone? You're welcomed with the badgers," he gestured to the table where Anthony Goldstein was using bacon as a beard.

"I'm fine, Ced. Why wouldn't I be?" She shrugged and walked off to where Koda was sitting on top of the table, leaving Cedric alone to ponder. Well, he walked to his seat and piled food on a plate, but he pondered on his own.

When they woke up, she jumped out of bed, cracked a joke, and hurried to use the showers of the Hospital Wing, before she whined at him for taking so long and separating herself from her breakfast, the most important meal of a day, as she nagged to Cedric while he tied his shoe-laces.

He was happy she smiled, but that smile was odd with the way she was the night before.

So even though she left as Koda leapt onto the head of Pansy Parkinson, he couldn't help but wonder what her pretty little head was hiding from him.

"What does it mean?"

"Settle down, settle down!" Remus Lupin called happily as the class settled into their seats. He eyed for a moment Ella taking her new seat next to Draco Malfoy, making a late Millicent Bulstrode scowl but sit next to Goyle. "Take out your books, open them to page two hundred and fifteen, we're discussing Kappas."

Ella sat straight in her seat, a change the professors all appreciated, and students scarcely noticed until now. No one truly noted how fast she caught up to the course-work, and now that she was running ahead, she knew which classes were her new favorites.

For example, Ella realized that Dumbledore was right; Potions were a lot like Chemistry, and once she read through and figured out the various ingredients and each use (she made a chart that was a lot like the Periodic Table that she knew by heart, of course), so she found herself practically forcing Cedric to up his work on Potions so he'd still be more advanced than her.

She was always a bit weak with plants, but Herbology wasn't all too bad; she found out Hermione's eagerness to learn and be prepared was very helpful, and they met twice a week at the Clockwork Yard to read through the notes.

Ella realized that Charms were a bit harder for her, unless she understood the motion behind them and the exact meaning, and the same went for Transfiguration. But on the other hand, she realized Divination was a far-fetched science, and as long as she went by the book, everything was right.
