18.School Event pt.1

Jaehwa POV

"Okay, you guys remember the plan right?"

"Yes, we make Jeongin jealous," Seungmin stated firmly.

"Okay, let's do this," Eunhee said before we parted.

Today is the day of the school event. We spent hours setting up for the past week, I was surprised we finished in time. Thankfully group 1 and 2 were paired together so our plan would be effective.

"Hey Jaehwa, is Jeongin not popular with girls?" Seungmin asked as we were walking to our group with Hyunjin trailing behind.

"Why do you ask that?"

"Because he's always the one worrying about you being around other guys."

"Well, he was but for some reason ever since last year all the girls left him alone."

"It's because he told everyone you're his girlfriend," Hyunjin mumbled loud enough for me to hear.

How could he use me like that.

"So we can do whatever we want?" Hyunjin asked as he wedged between us.

"Basically. There's a bunch of games set up. It's like a fair," Seungmin answered.

As we approached our group, I decided to make a suggestion. "Hm...let's get some snacks and just hang out."

"I like that," Jisung said before getting up and walking towards Felix to ask if he could lend him a hand with the treats. They disappeared after a while and everyone started playing small games here and there.

After we tried out most of the games, we started to grow bored.

"What's taking them so long?" Hyunjin sighed.

Soon after, we spotted Jisung as he walked back over with Felix, holding a box filled of snacks.

"Let's sit in a circle," Felix suggested as he placed the box down.

I was about to take a seat next to Seungmin but stopped as Hyunjin cleared his throat, which caused us to look in his direction.

"Sit next to me Jaehwa," he said as he patted on the ground beside him.

"Why? Aren't you tired of me yet?"

"Of course not. I deal with you everyday, I'm practically immune."

"You act like dealing with you is any easier," I rolled my eyes.

"Come on~"

I looked at Hyunjin and then at Seungmin. What should I do?

In the end I had Hyunjin on my left and Seungmin on my right. Why is Hyunjin being so clingy today?

"What game are we playing with group 2?" Felix asked after we all got situated.

"I think we get the option to pick or draw from the bucket," Jisung answered.

"What should we do? Do you guys have something in mind?"

"Let's decide when they get here," Seungmin suggested.

Everyone nodded and we started talking about random topics. About 30 minutes into our conversation group 2 took a seat not too far from us.

Occasionally, Jeongin would look over and I would glance over at Seungmin, giving him a smile or I'd laugh at small jokes he'd tell, although they weren't funny to me his effort was cute. Hyunjin would then tap me on the shoulder and proceed to tell me things that didn't even make sense.
