29.Letter Hunt pt.2

Jeongin POV

After slipping the letter back into its envelope, I made my way towards our classroom and Hyunjin followed. As I approached my desk, I could see the envelope sitting on it.

I picked it up and quickly read the letter inside.

Congratulations! You made it to the classroom haha. You probably know where this is going, but just play along with me. Your next destination is a place we used to spend our best moments. Can you guess where that is?

"The cafeteria?" I looked up at Hyunjin to read his expression.
Seems like I'm right.

I walked over to Hyunjin and handed him the envelopes before making my way to the cafeteria. He quickly put them inside the bag he brought along and followed behind.

Once I reached the table we usually sat at, I picked up the envelope that sat calmly on the seat I always preferred. Repeating the process, I quickly opened it to decipher her clues.

Are you getting tired of me now? Alright, we're almost done here so don't worry. I saved some time, so instead of making you go to each class from every year, why don't you make your way to the bench we always hung out at during middle school...see you there!

"How long did it take her to plan this?" I asked as I handed the letter and envelope to Hyunjin.

He slightly chuckled as he took it from me and put it in the bag. "You don't want to know. All you have to do is enjoy it, which I'm sure isn't hard for you."

We walked out of the school and took a break before making our way to the middle school we attended.

"Alright, we're here," I huffed as we made it to the small bench. I started reminiscing all the times my heart fluttered, and all the jitters I felt from thinking about how Jaehwa would've responded if I confessed back then. I softly smiled as I took a seat before picking up the letter.

Do you remember all the times we sat here just to pass time? This exact place is where I realized I had feelings for you. Whenever Eunhee and Hyunjin weren't around and we waited on them, I had the best time chatting with you. You always understood me which made it easier for us to get along. I'm sorry for always talking about Jisung those few months. It was pretty annoying wasn't it? Alright, alright, we're almost done. The next place is where we always hung out after school.

It wasn't annoying at all. I liked seeing how happy you were.

I handed the envelope to Hyunjin before getting up from the bench. "So we're going to the convenience store nearby...and then Eunhee's house?"

"You're so smart my friend," he gave me a wide smile.

I rolled my eyes playfully before heading to the convenience store. We usually went there to buy a few snacks since it was right in front of the school.

As we entered, we were greeted by the owner. "Hello boys, I haven't seen you in a while. Where are your friends?"

"They're busy today," Hyunjin replied, "How are you doing sir?"

"I'm doing just fine, thank you," he chuckled, "Go ahead and help yourselves. I'm sure you know this place better than I do."

Hyunjin smiled as he looked over and motioned for me to look around. I walked between the aisles, grabbing a few snacks we always got along with some drinks, but I didn't see an envelope anywhere.
