24.Reveal pt.2

Jeongin POV

After seeing Jaehwa head towards the stream I quickly told everyone I had to go and started running. 

"GOOD LUCK! WE'LL BE WATCHING!" Hyunjin shouted.

Why am I running so much today? This better be worth it.

I made it to the bench and didn't see Jaehwa yet. "Thank goodness I made it before her," I mumbled.

I sat on the bench trying to catch my breath before she arrived. How should I tell her I like her? What should I do? What if she hates me after this? Maybe this is a bad idea...

"Oh, what am I thinking," I quickly waved my thoughts away. 

I have to do this, I've already come so far. I can't give up now. You can do it, Yang Jeongin!

"Hello Stranger."

I took a deep breath before standing up and turning to face her. "Hi..Are you surprised it's me?" I hesitantly waved.

"Not one bit," she smiled.

"You-you knew it was me?" My voice grew louder in shock.

"Not at first, but after some time I started thinking it was possible."

"Sorry I made you go through all that," I chuckled softly as I nervously stared at the ground.

"It's fine, I had a lot of fun actually."

What should I say?

"Um, so did you have something you wanted to say?" She asked.

"I-I..."

How do I say it? Just tell her I like her? What should I do?

"Let me go first then," she laughed.

"Yang Jeongin, I like you, and I've liked you for a long time."

Did I hear that correctly? "You-did you just say you like me?" My eyes widened as I looked at her.

"Yes," she nodded her head.

"Like-"

"Not just as a friend," she interrupted. 

I could feel myself blushing and didn't know what to do. "I like you too!" I blurted out before looking down in embarrassment.

I finally said it! I couldn't find the courage to look up, but heard Jaehwa begin to laugh.

"Why are you so cute," she chuckled as she raised my chin a bit, making me meet her eyes.

I felt my cheeks getting hotter. I probably look really stupid right now.

"Okay Stranger, let me ask you something really important."

"W-what is it?"

"Will you be my boyfriend?" She smiled.

My heart is beating so fast, hopefully she can't hear it. "Yes," I said softly.

She gave me a smile before grabbing my hand. "Let's go, we're going to be late for class time."

"YANG JEONGIN!" I looked up to see Hyunjin running towards us. I forgot they were watching, that's so embarrassing. 

"You finally have a girlfriend," he teased as he stood next to me.

"Stop," I blushed yet again.

"Alright, alright, lets go, they're leaving us," he moved his gaze forward.

We started walking towards where the class would be meeting, but were stopped right as we got there.

"Hyunjin!" Jisung called out.

"What's wrong?"

"We need to be with our partners, I've been looking for you everywhere," he said as he grabbed Hyunjin's arm and began dragging him away.

"Save me," Hyunjin cried as I laughed.

"Jeongin?" I turned my head to meet Jaehwa's eyes.

"Did I miss something?" I asked.

"They're starting now, let's go," she gestured for me to follow and we took a seat beside Dowoon and Eunhee.

"Did you guys have fun?" Mr. Yoon asked.

"Yes!" Everyone shouted.

"That's good to hear. Go ahead and talk amongst yourselves while I get the camera ready to take our class picture," with that, he stood up and began setting up the camera. 

"So Eunhee said you guys are finally official," Dowoon looked over at us.

"Yeah."

"About time, I was wondering when that would happen," he laughed. 

"Wait you knew?" Jaehwa asked.

"That you guys liked each other? Of course, everyone can tell."

"He's lying, Hyunjin's big mouth was going on and on and Dowoon happened to overhear," Eunhee chimed in.

"Hey, you could've just let me sound cool you know."

"Nah, that doesn't make you sound cool, it's just weird."

"Well-"

"Okay class, let's get ready for the picture!" Mr. Yoon beamed. Everyone started getting up slowly before clumping together in order to fit the frame.

"Okay the timer's on so we have to get this right," Mr. Yoon said as he ran to find a spot. "Everyone smile!" He shouted enthusiastically. 

The camera flashed and Mr. Yoon rushed to see the results. "It came out nicely! Well done everyone," he smiled.

"It's time to load the bus so hurry and get on! Dowoon take the camera with you and take attendance once everyone is on."

"Yes sir!"

I let Jaehwa go first so she could take the window seat again. I do prefer the window seat, but I know she likes them too so I gave it up this time.

"Is everyone seated? I'm going to take attendance," Dowoon stated. He began walking down the aisle and checking off everyone's name. 

"Eunhee, absent," he joked.

"Count me absent, I dare you," she glared.

"Haha...just kidding," he laughed nervously. 

"And my favorite couple," he teased as he checked our names off. I glanced at Jaehwa to see her reaction, but she was facing the window so I couldn't see anything.

Dowoon finished taking roll, and Mr. Yoon finally got on the bus. Once the bus departed I started dozing off. Maybe I should take another nap.

Right when I was about to fall asleep, I felt something touch me which made me jump in surprise. "What happened?" I mumbled. I looked over to see Jaehwa fast asleep on my shoulder. I tried my best not to wake her up by keeping my movements minimal.

"Now I can't sleep," I mumbled. I stared blankly at the seat in front of me and before I knew it I ended up falling asleep.
