6.Lunch

Jaehwa POV

I closed my locker to see Jisung standing there blankly.

“Hello my love, here’s your little gift for today,” Jisung said as he held out an envelope to me.

“Wait! You’re Stranger?” I asked, shocked.

“No, but a little birdie told me to pass this to you,” he smiled.

I took the envelope from him and raised an eyebrow.

“So, this little birdie of yours, where is he?” I asked.

“Hey, if I tell you that then where’s the fun in it?” he shrugged.

“So, you’re basically a messenger.”

“I like to think of it as an accomplice.”

“If that makes you feel better, then I guess so,” I said, rolling my eyes.

"By the way, why were you just standing there?" I asked.

"I didn't know how to get your attention," he chuckled.

“Well, I’ll see you later, I have something to do,” he said as he waved.

“Why was Jisung talking to you?” Eunhee said as she popped up next to me.

“Where did you come from?” I jumped.

“I just got here.”

“So what was that all about?” she asked.

“He gave me this letter,” I said as I held it up.

“Wait? So then he’s Stranger!” she shouted.

"Shhhh, what if people hear you?” 

“Sorry, I just can’t believe it. You and Jisung? I would never imagine.”

“It’s not him. He said he was just handing it to me.”

“So that means...either he’s lying or he knows who Stranger is.”

“Definitely. So our next mission is to get the info out of him,” I said as I looked at her.

“Sounds like a plan.”

 Eunhee and I were walking to class, but Minhyun suddenly stopped us.

“Jaehwa, can we talk?” he asked.

“We don’t have anything to talk about,” I said as I grabbed Eunhee's wrist and started walking away.

“Wait, please,” he begged as he grabbed my hand.

I looked back at him and let out a sigh.

“Eunhee you go to class first and tell Hyunjin to come if this takes longer than five minutes,” I whispered.

“Got it,” she whispered before walking off.

“Let go,” I said firmly, looking down at his hand.

“Sorry,” he said as he let go.

“What do you want?” 

“Why did you refuse to accept my gift?” 

“Because I don’t want it. If that’s all then I’m leaving,” I said before turning around.

“Wait, I really just want to know what’s so good about this guy you keep rejecting me for.”

I turned around and looked him straight in the eye.

“He’s way nicer than you’ve ever been.”
