24.Reveal pt.1

Jaehwa POV

We were standing outside the school gate, waiting to board the bus so it could take us to the field trip site.

"Where's Jeongin?" Eunhee asked.

"He's probably with Hyunjin."

"Well they better hurry up before we get on the bus and leave without them."

"Should we call them?"

"If you want to," she shrugged.

"Alright everyone, we're going to be leaving soon! Class president, please take attendance," Mr. Yoon announced. Dowoon began taking attendance after retrieving the clipboard from Mr. Yoon.

"I guess I have to call him now," I sighed. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed Jeongin's number.

"Why is he not picking up," I mumbled. 

"Hello?" He finally answered.

"Where are you?"

"We're on our way...Hyunjin wouldn't wake up," he sounded like he was out of breath.

"Are you running?"

"Yes."

"Well hurry up, Dowoon is taking attendance."

"We're almost there! Stall for me!"

"I'll try," I said before hanging up.

"So where are they?" Eunhee asked.

"No idea, but they're running."

"They better make it fast before Dowoon gets over here."

"He won't say anything right? We're friends anyways."

"Probably not but I don't think Jeongin can afford getting counted late again."

Jeongin hurry up.

Dowoon started getting closer to us and I couldn't help but panic. I kept looking back to see if they were coming.

"Calm down, at this rate you're going to break your neck."

"I can't help it," I said as I looked back once more.

"I'll stall a bit," Eunhee whispered as Dowoon approached us. "Hey guys," he waved.

"Hi," Eunhee waved back.

"Are you guys ready for today?"

"I mean it's our last trip, of course we have to enjoy it right?"

I turned around and saw Jeongin from a distance. My eyes widened as I repeatedly tapped on Eunhee's shoulder until she diverted Dowoon's attention elsewhere.

"What took you guys so long?" I whispered as they stopped in front of me.

"We...a dog..lost..here..." Jeongin responded between breaths.

"What?"

"We were running here and then a dog started chasing us so we ended up running around until we lost it, and because of that it took us longer to get here," Hyunjin answered.

Don't laugh. I recollected myself before trying to speak.

"Uh-Hyunjin you should probably head over before you get counted absent," I pointed over to his class.

"Crap. I'll see you guys at the place!" He waved before running away.

"Are you okay now?" I looked over at Jeongin who seemed to finally catch his breath.
