Jaehwa POV
I finally managed to hang out with Eunhee for once. After getting ready I walked in to see Hyunjin sprawled out on my bed.
"Aren't you leaving?"
"I'm waiting for Jeongin."
"You know you can just walk next door right."
"But I'm lazy, and he said he would come get me," he said as he checked his phone. "Why can't we come along anyways?" he asked while poking at my plushie.
"Because I want to hang out with Eunhee alone. You guys tag along too much."
"But that makes it fun. The more the merrier," he whined.
"So you never wanted to hang out with Jeongin without me being there?"
"That's different."
"How?"
"Anyways, just let us come too!"
"No. And that's final."
At the mall
"So why did you want to come here today?" I asked as we walked through the door.
"I never got to ask how your date with Jeongin went."
"At the amusement park?"
"Where else?"
"Just making sure."
"So what happened?" she asked as we were looking through the aisles.
"Nothing much really. We bumped into Jisung and Minho along the way, had cotton candy, and went on the ferris wheel."
"You're telling me, out of everything you did, nothing happened?" she raised an eyebrow.
"I mean, we shared cotton candy and took a picture...but that's it."
"A picture? Let me see," she reached out her hand.
"Uh, you don't want to see it," I avoided eye contact and started walking the other way.
"Come back here," she demanded in a serious tone.
I turned around slowly before making my way back.
"Show me the picture," she demanded.
"Fine, fine," I took my phone out of my pocket and slowly looked for the photo. I finally found it but couldn't bear to look.
"Here," I handed her my phone and watched as her expression changed.
"You kissed him!" she shouted.
"Calm down, that was really loud," I looked around to see people glancing over.
"My bad, I'm just shocked," she lowered her voice as she handed me my phone.
"And no, I didn't kiss him."
"Then what was that," she crossed her arms in disbelief.
"We barely touched. I just turned my head at the wrong time and I didn't know I took the picture."
"Sure~" she teased.
"I'm serious."
"Okay, okay," she laughed. "Let's go somewhere else, I'm bored here."
We left the place and made our way towards a different store, but for some reason I felt like someone was following us.
"Hey Eunhee, don't you feel like someone's following us?"
"No, why?" she looked around cautiously.
"I swear I thought I saw someone," I mumbled.
"It could've just been someone walking by."
"Still.."
"Maybe you're just being paranoid."
"Maybe.."
We walked into the store and started looking around. Eunhee found a few things she wanted to try on so I waited for her outside the dressing room. As I was waiting, I looked around the store carefully since I still had a strange feeling crawling on my skin.
"Hey, be careful! We're going to get caught," I heard someone say from behind one of the shelves.
"You're the one who pushed me!" someone said back.
"You guys lied to me, you said we were doing something fun," another commented.
If I'm right, I know exactly who these three are.
"You look to see if there's anyone over there," the first said.
"Why me?" the second asked.
"Just go," he replied back in annoyance.
Do they not know how to whisper? It's like they're asking to get caught. I walked over to the shelf and was about to peek my head over when someone popped up in front of me, causing me to jerk back in shock.
"J-Jaehwa," Jeongin said, flustered. He stumbled a bit before regaining balance.
"What are you doing here?" I crossed my arms.
"N-nothing...I just...um...wanted to look around," he looked around nervously.
"Oh really? Hyunjin, Beomgyu, come out."
The two of them slowly walked out from behind the shelf.
"Why are you guys here?"
"Why can't we be here?" Hyunjin retorted.
"I didn't say you couldn't be here, I'm asking why."
"It was all Hyunjin's idea!" Jeongin pointed.
"Yeah! He said we were going to do something fun, I didn't know anything about this," Beomgyu added.
"Jaehwa, who are you talking to?" Eunhee asked as she walked over. "Beomgyu? What are you doing here?" she questioned.
"Eunhee! They tricked me!" he exclaimed as he pointed at them before running to her and clinging onto her arm
"I'm so confused," she said as her brows furrowed.
"Basically, Hyunjin thought it would be a good idea to follow us around today, but they got caught," I explained.
"I see...well, let's just go to the cafe we met at last time and hang out," she suggested.
"Sounds like a great idea," Hyunjin answered.
On our way out of the store, Hyunjin walked up beside me. "I'll pay for you," he said as his way of apologizing.
"Why?"
"You said you wanted to hang out with Eunhee alone, but I ruined it for you."
"Don't worry about it, I can always hang out with her another time."
"So you're not mad at me right?"
"No."
"That's a relief. I'm still paying since I feel bad though."
"What about me?" Jeongin asked as he walked up next to Hyunjin.
"I'll pay for you too, my baby," he said jokingly while pinching his cheeks.
"Get your hands off me," he frowned.
"Why? Because you'd only let-" Jeongin quickly covered his mouth before he could continue.
What's wrong with these two?
