Chapter 41: My 18th birthday

3 months later
Today was the day, I get to see my cousin. It had been three months since I saw him, life was looking up now. And my future with liam was brighter than ever.

Today is my 18th birthday, I thought this day would be me being mopey and the whole house trying to get me in the party mood but what with recent events. I feel great, excited even.
I woke up with liam gone, no doubt he's having an early morning house meeting. I wonder how Faith is enjoying her run being interrupted by my crazy boyfriend, me and Faith bonded over running. She's an amazing girl but Carmen and Tee have been nothing short of angels. Both have been filling me in with the house gossip well I say both I mean Carmen, Ryan has accepted my offer at being the best friend. I guess he's dealing with it in his own way but he's been amazing too, Liam has been showering me with love and kisses. Along with food, baths and he sat through Harry Potter the other night.
Gritted his teeth during the third one onwards as I couldn't hide my swooning over Tom Felton, but I saw the way he looked at Emma Watson. Ryan as well for that matter, they all enjoyed having me home.
It felt good, Stevie rang me non stop. Telling me how he's now top dog, and his cell mate is his old friend, Emmett Gillian, I vaguely remember Emmett. Only he was the guy who used to help me prank Stevie, those were great times.
I woke up after writing in my diary like Brian recommended me do whilst he was in sunny Australia with his daughter. He sent me postcards, Brian must be having a ball not having to deal with my teenage angst. But I wasn't even giving that a second thought.
Liam didn't leave my side until, this morning.

I got dressed into Liam's jumper, I also stole his shirt to put underneath. Along with blue ripped jeans and my boots.
I was just outside the kitchen when I heard the meeting, "Right all of you remember your jobs, Carmen your on spa duty, Faith your first up on the run. Tee your on decorations and sapphire, Ryan you pick up Harry and the cake please be careful that's when Mike steps in and makes sure the cake is safe and not in Harry's stomach. The rest of you be nice to her which you already are and I'm going to melt her heart with a song" Liam ordered and I saw him get my breakfast on a tray but he didn't need to so I decided to pretend I didn't hear that.
Liam came into the living room and smiled "Your up early baby, happy birthday" Liam said kissing my cheek, "Can we go upstairs and just sleep? That sounds like the perfect birthday to me" I joked, Liam continued kissing me.
I didn't care anyway, then I heard someone clear their throat. "Liam, you know the rules" Mike said from behind smirking.
Liam nodded "Sorry mike" then mike sat between us and handed me a card. "Mike, you shouldn't have" I said in awe and he waved his hand at me, "Oh it's nothing Chloe, your 18! I'm supposed to go all out and plus, Liam's orders" I laughed as I opened the card that felt a little hard.
"You haven't accidentally put anything in here have you mike?" I asked as I opened the envelope and he shook his head. Keys fell out the envelope, that's strange, I have a set of house keys.
Then, I saw a birthday card and a piece of paper with a flat on it, it had been paid for and a date was on it. Then I realised "Oh my god mike" I sobbed out happily. He hugged me, "You and Liam both deserve it, as much as I want you to stay Chloe. You'll have to go at some point, I feel like your finally getting to the right place" Mike told me and I looked at Liam smiling as I squealed "Liam! We're gonna be flat mates! Oh mike this is the best present ever! How can I repay you?" I was over the moon and so was liam. He hadn't been able to find the words, he let out a gasp and tears filled his eyes. "Chloe, you do not have to repay me a penny just make sure liam doesn't trash the place" mike joked as he ruffled Liam's hair.
"Mike honestly, thank you so much" Liam finally said and then Mike left us to it as floss was shouting "Mike!" Mike rolled his eyes "Never a dull moment".
I placed the papers down and kissed Liam. "No more sneaking around baby" Liam said winking and I blushed as I giggled. "That's true, but we are starting by decorating. I'll be cleaning it before we do anything because you never know what is floating about, oh and that reminds me. I'll need a job" I rambled and Liam silenced me with a kiss, "Baby, don't get too ahead we ain't even gone over the threshold one step at a time"
I knew I was getting way ahead but I was so excited, after all this time. All the pain, tears and fights. Me and Liam finally have our happily ever after in sight.
Everyone stuck to Liam's plan, I went along with it as I knew he was throwing some kind of surprise party for me. I couldn't wait for it, I spent the day with Carmen and Tee at a spa.
Thanks to May-Li and she joined too, she could do with the break. And I got home after a day out, Carmen placed a blindfold over my eyes.
"If I'm going to the electric chair, I'm haunting all of you" I joked as I walked forward and then I heard total silence, and I was a little worried.
Then I heard a lot of deep breaths as she lifted the blindfold, "SURPRISE!" The room erupted and Liam was stood in front of everyone, "Guys! This is amazing... HARRY!" I squealed as I caught sight of him and he ran into my arms.
"Happy birthday Chloe" he said letting go of me and I began to tear up, "You've grown!" I said taking his card and I was just getting used to not seeing Jeff in his arms, he had given him to Floss. Sapphire was here too, everything was perfect. Liam gave me a kiss after I thanked everyone, Mike let me have a drink but I wasn't to tell the others.
Then I saw a microphone set up, Liam was standing there. "I'd like to say something to the most beautiful girl in the room, I don't even need to ask you who it is. She's the girl who has definitely made my life interesting, but at the same time she became my best mate. I remember the day she walked into my life, Chloe was stood there and her first words to me was I was the boy in the pink shirt, she wasn't afraid to trust me. I'll admit she had me at pink shirt, but along the way she went from my crazy best mate to the love of my life. Now she's a woman, and the woman I love. So if the DG has given me anything, it's the most amazing, beautiful and all around crazy girl and I'll always be grateful. So, Chloe this is our song" Harry pressed play on the stereo and it was last night on earth, I smiled as I began to tear up. Ryan stood next to me, smiling "He's really gone out today" He said and I nodded "Yeah" then I noticed he was trying to hold back tears. "Ryan, are you okay?" I asked and he forced out a laugh "Yeah, actually, I have something for you" he pulled out a box, I gasped "Oh Ryan you didn't need to get me anything" and I opened it. It was a light blue crystal heart, hung on a silver chain. "It's beautiful, it's exactly like the colour of my eyes" Ryan nodded "When I was faced with the fact I'll possibly never see you again, I saw this in a jewellery shop in Dublin. I brought it so I could look at it and think of you, then when I found you I'd give it to you" Ryan told me and I gave him a hug. "Thanks Ryan".
I turned my attention back to Liam, who smiled at me during the last instrumental part.
After the song, I went for a walk with Liam.
"Did you like the song?" Liam asked as he laced his fingers with mine, I smiled "I wasn't expecting you to sing a green day song to me, but it was beautiful".
We fell back on the ground, still holding hands. I wasn't bothered about ruining my outfit, it was just a simple navy silk knee length dress. Yes you guessed it, I was wearing boots. "Did I tell you you look absolutely gorgeous?" Liam asked and I blushed. "You tell me that everyday liam" I sighed as I looked up at the dark blue sky. It was a cold night, but for November it felt okay. Liam kept staring at me, "Something on my face?" I asked noticing him looking at me and he chuckled "Nope, only the most beautiful face I've ever seen" we looked up at the sky and I rolled over. "Your so much prettier than the sky" I smiled and Liam laughed as he kissed me. Then I heard someone singing, "Do you hear that? Sounds like someone's singing" Liam said and we got up and went inside. "Teardrops are faaaling" I heard and then I looked at the person singing.
It was Ryan, he was singing the song from crybaby. I smiled and Liam did too, I had no idea he could sing. Especially a song like that, "That one was for the birthday girl, who I know wants to say something" Ryan said.
I took the microphone and sighed "Well, I had no idea you could sing and that was nice. But I'd like to say, thank you everyone so much. This one is one to remember, I've had some crazy dumping ground birthdays but this one is just perfect. I love the purple lights and my face on the balloons, but there's two people especially I'd like to thank. Liam, my crazy, perfect and beautiful boyfriend. Who was the mastermind behind this party and without him, I'd be the same wreck I was last year. But I couldn't have gotten better without mike and may-li of course but one person, got me back to being me. Even if he annoyed the hell out of me, Ryan you've become very special to me and I know I may not be yours but your my best friend and thank you for keeping me sane. So enough of the speeches, let's partyyyyy!"
The night ended well and with Tyler and Johnny cleaning up, Liam's orders again. My room was covered in all the presents I was given, mainly Liam but I was happy. I had a lot of organising to do tomorrow, but I left that out of my thoughts. "So, it's only 3 hours until midnight baby. You up for more fun?" Liam teased and I nodded "I'm only playing if you are my love" I kicked my boots off and kissed him. The night ended perfectly, liam was all over me and my 18th was just.... well... perfect.
