Aizawa took the three boys back to UA, settling them in their empty classroom.
"Are you ready to tell me what is going on now?"
Izuku frowned, he still had that voice in his head telling him he should shut up, it was his fault and he deserved it. 'But, kacchan and Todoroki said the opposite. I know Kacchan wouldn't lie to me and Todoroki tried his best to help me even though we've only known each other a few days, he's been through this before.'
Taking a deep breath, he glanced at his friends for reassurance before speaking.
"You were right Aizawa-sensei. I didn't slip. My, my m-mum h-hurt me." The man nodded, making sure to keep his face neutral.
"We need to get evidence to open a case, take pictures of your wounds, the ones you have now and any scars along with how you received them."
Izuku nodded, he felt tired, he wanted this over with, he wanted to stop hurting. As the group walked to Recovery Girl's infirmary, Aizawa spoke.
"Do you want Bakugo and Todoroki in there with you? They can leave if you want?" Shaking his head roughly he whispered
"I want them to stay. I-if that's ok with th-them I mean." Katsuki shared a questioning look with Shoto who nodded firmly.
"We will be there if you want us to be 'Zuku." Relieved, the greenette shot them both a smile.
Recovery Girl ushered the four inside and led Izuku to a bed.
"Hello deary, Aizawa has already told me what has been going on so you don't have to talk if you don't want to." As she spoke, Recovery Girl was rummaging through her desk draw. Pulling out a camera, smiling softly,
"We will go at your own pace deary."
Izuku tried to calm himself down. He had been hiding everything for so long that he felt sick thinking about pictures being taken.
*They are going to find out what a waste of space you are.*
'N-no. Kacchan and Todoroki said it wasn't my fault!'
*Poor, useless Izuku, you just let your dear old mummy beat you up. What kind of hero are you? Disgusting.*
"-zuku, Izuku stop!" Blinking harshly, the greenette realised Katsuki was standing in front of him, holding his wrists tightly.
"Kacchan? What happened?" The blonde looked distressed,
"You just started staring, then you were hitting your head! What the fuck?"
*useless, broken!*
The young boy flinched, pulling his hands out of his friends grip.
"S-sorry, I d-do-n't know wh-what happened, let's j-just get this over with."
------
Katsuki was worried.
'What the actual fuck was that?' When Izuku just started hitting himself out of nowhere he had panicked, the boy was hurt enough already why was he making it worse? Something touched his hand, startling him and drawing his eyes down, not sure what to feel when he realised Icy hot was holding his hand, said boy nodded to him, eyes silently telling him,
'you aren't alone.'
His heart did a strange flip which he chose to ignore for the moment and tightened his grip trying to prepare himself.
------
'I'm gonna kill a bitch!' It was worse than he had ever imagined, there was barely a single spot left unbruised or scarred. He tried to keep it together but his ever increasing grip on Icy hot's hand betrayed him.
'She was meant to take care of him! How did I not see what was going on? For fuck sake I have been around him since we were born!'
Todoroki rubbed Kastuki's shoulder soothingly with the hand that wasn't being crushed, moving closer so he could whisper in his ear.
"I'm angry too Bakugo, but we have to stay calm for Midoriya's sake. They have more than enough evidence to send that vile woman to prison. He needs us to be there for him."
Taking a deep breath the blonde forcefully relaxed his tense shoulders, gaze moving to the greenette's tearful face. Todoroki was right. Rubbing his thumb on the cold hand in his Katsuki nodded.
'We will be there for him, no matter what!'
